ELEKS Software Engineering and Development Office is looking for a Senior Data Engineer in Poland and Croatia.
ABOUT PROJECT
Our client is a financial company in the USA, providing services for institutional investors. This organization offers a cloud-based platform for multi-asset class portfolio management, reporting, and analytics.
REQUIREMENTS
- 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role
- Strong proficiency in Apache Airflow for orchestrating and scheduling data workflows
- Advanced SQL skills, including experience with complex queries and performance tuning
- Hands-on experience with Snowflake and dbt, including data modeling and optimization
- Proficiency in Python and/or C# with experience in data manipulation libraries
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git)
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
- Experience with CI/CD practices and tools
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- At least an Upper-Intermediate level of English
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines using Apache Airflow
- Write complex SQL queries and stored procedures for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes
- Implement and optimize data models in Snowflake
- Develop Python scripts and C# utilities for data processing, analysis, and automation
- Collaborate with data analysts to ensure data availability and quality
- Implement data quality checks and monitoring systems
- Optimize data storage and retrieval processes for improved performance
- Participate in code reviews and maintain documentation
