About the role

We’re looking for a strategic and hands-on Senior Content Marketing Manager to take full ownership of Oak’s content strategy. You’ll be responsible for planning, producing and optimising content across the funnel, from thought leadership and SEO-driven articles to case studies, sales assets, product messaging and campaign copy. You’ll be the go-to content expert and a key voice in how we attract, engage and convert our audiences.

You’ll bring fresh ideas, strong editorial instincts and a sharp understanding of how content drives pipeline and brand in a modern B2B SaaS business. If you're excited by the opportunity to take a clear content strategy and bring it to life through high-quality execution, crafting standout content that engages and converts then this is the role for you.

What you’ll do
  • Own and execute the content strategy across web, email, social, and campaigns—driving brand awareness, demand generation, and customer engagement.
  • Create and manage high-quality, multi-format content (e.g. blogs, guides, video scripts, landing pages) that aligns with our brand, messaging, and buyer journey.
  • Lead social media and newsletter activity, using platforms like LinkedIn and HubSpot to engage audiences, nurture leads, and boost visibility.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Design, Product Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success to produce on-brand, performance-driven assets and campaigns.
  • Measure and optimise content performance, manage SEO, and support one direct report with clear objectives, feedback, and development.

RequirementsWhat we’re looking for
  • 5+ years of content marketing experience in a B2B SaaS or tech company
  • Experience with tools such as Umbraco, HubSpot, Google Analytics and Adobe InDesign
  • Proven ability to create and execute content strategies independently
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, with a strong portfolio to match
  • Strategic thinker with commercial awareness and understands how content fuels growth
  • Knowledge of SEO, demand generation and content performance metrics
  • Strong project management and stakeholder communication skills
  • Bonus: experience working on internal comms, employee engagement, or HR tech content
  • Experience in managing or mentoring junior team members
  • Ability to prioritise and allocate tasks effectively within a small team structure

BenefitsWhy Join Oak?
  • A mission-driven company with real momentum and a powerful product
  • A supportive, high-energy culture where your growth matters
  • Hybrid and flexible working options
  • Private healthcare, generous holidays, and wellbeing benefits
  • The opportunity to shape the next era of employee engagement
Our Recruitment Process

Stage 1: CV and application review

We’ll review your CV and any supporting materials to assess alignment with the role and our team needs.

Stage 2: Initial Teams call

A 30-minute conversation with the Head of Marketing & PR to discuss your background, experience and interest in the role. We’ll also share more about Oak and the opportunity ahead.

Stage 3: In-person interview and presentation
You’ll be invited to our HQ in Newcastle to meet key team members. As part of this stage, you’ll present a brief content strategy plan to generate Marketing Qualified Leads targeting the Internal Communication, HR and IT sectors. This is your chance to showcase your thinking, creativity and how you’d bring value to our brand. We’d also like you to submit a portfolio of relevant work (links or PDF) ahead of the interview to give us a broader view of your capabilities.

What you need to know about the Belfast Tech Scene

If asked to name the birthplace of the RMS Titanic, you might not say Belfast. Similarly, if asked to name Europe's leading destination for foreign direct investment in new software development, Belfast might not come to mind. Yet, both are true. The city has emerged as a tech powerhouse, recently ranked among the best in the U.K. for tech careers — especially for software developers. It also leads the U.K. with the highest percentage of software development jobs advertised.
