The Senior Consultant will design and implement hybrid infrastructure solutions, oversee deployment, create documentation, and ensure communication at all organizational levels while also adapting communication styles and working collaboratively on projects.

The Senior Consultant (Hybrid Infrastructure - Dell) will deliver expert design and deployment of hybrid infrastructure solutions, including compute, storage, HCI, virtualisation, backup and disaster recovery. This role sits within the Professional Services team in the Cloud & Infrastructure Practice. You’ll work with Practice leadership, Presales and PMO teams, taking ownership of solution design and end‑to‑end delivery for customers. The role involves UK‑wide travel and occasional out‑of‑hours work to meet project needs, so you must be comfortable with long‑distance travel and staying away when required.
- Produce high-level and low-level designs and peer-review technical deliverables as required.
- Undertake implementation and migration of solutions and services.
- Create and maintain accurate documentation for all tasks and projects, ensuring accuracy in all proposals, Statement of Works, and technical documentation.
- Provide daily progress updates and maintain timesheets.
- Adhere to departmental processes, procedures, and company policies.
- Comply with all Security, Health & Safety, and Environmental requirements
- Communicate effectively at all organisational levels, including CIO.
- Adapt communication style to suit different audiences.
- Build cross-departmental relationships (e.g. Sales, PMO, Managed Services).
- Work both independently and collaboratively depending on engagement type.
- Demonstrate enthusiasm for the technologies recommended and deployed.
- Work to deadlines with confidence and professionalism.
- Maintain a personal development mindset and willingness to cross-skill.
- In-depth understanding and experience designing and implementing unstructured data and object storage platforms, particularly Dell technologies.
- Excellent understanding and hands-on experience in designing and implementing enterprise server and storage platforms (e.g. Dell, HPE), including block storage and hyperconverged infrastructure solutions.
- Strong experience designing and implementing enterprise virtualisation platforms (e.g. VMware vSphere with vCenter, Nutanix, Microsoft).
- Experience and understanding of data protection, appliance, and cyber recovery solutions (Dell, HPE, Veeam).
- Design and implementation of enterprise storage platforms from Dell (PowerStore, PowerScale, ECS, Unity, CloudIQ) and HPE (Alletra B & X series, dHCI, 3PAR, Nimble)
- Designing and implementing Dell VxRail, PowerFlex, Azure Local, Dell EMC VPLEX / Metro nodes and other Hyper-Converged platforms.
- Design and implementation of Dell PowerEdge, Dell MX and HPE Synergy Blade chassis.and HPE Proliant servers
- Working knowledge of Nutanix HCI and AHV virtualisation platforms.
- Strong understanding of Fibre Channel and iSCSI SAN technologies.
- Experience designing and implementing stretched cluster technologies
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (VLANs, IP addressing, routing concepts).
- Awareness of security best practices for enterprise infrastructure platforms.
- Extensive data migration experience.
- Exposure to infrastructure-as-code (Ansible, Terraform) and automation (PowerShell, Python) is beneficial.
