This is a challenging but rewarding role where the successful candidate will deliver output viewed at Senior Management level within ScottishPower & Iberdrola. In addition, the team’s external output is conveyed to OFGEM and DESNZ to inform & support the Government’s commitment to Smart Metering and Net Zero.

External Reporting covers all reports issued by ScottishPower to OFGEM & DESNZ. These are required under strict timescales and must be completed accurately. There is a full internal review process in place with support from Regulation to ensure the output is appropriately scrutinised before submission.

Internal Reporting covers all internal performance metrics required by the management team to operate the Smart Programme. A core suite of reports is issued daily & weekly with additional monthly, quarterly and annual summaries being required by the internal control team.

The Analysts will also look at emerging business problems on an ad-hoc basis, identifying appropriate data sources and building the analysis tools to answer the business questions using data. It is likely that the output from this workstream will, in some cases, lead to a new regular report being developed & added to the reporting suite.

  • All reports & processes in the department are subject to a culture of continuous improvement and all analysts are expected to bring any new learnings in to improve their processes as they arise.
  • All of the Analysts are required to be able to deliver the full regular reporting suite of internal reports. What you need to know about the Belfast Tech Scene

If asked to name the birthplace of the RMS Titanic, you might not say Belfast. Similarly, if asked to name Europe's leading destination for foreign direct investment in new software development, Belfast might not come to mind. Yet, both are true. The city has emerged as a tech powerhouse, recently ranked among the best in the U.K. for tech careers — especially for software developers. It also leads the U.K. with the highest percentage of software development jobs advertised.
