Mō te tūranga | About the role

We need Senior Business Analysts for multiple programmes on a contract basis to support WNZL’s future. You will collaborate with product, technology, and frontline teams to drive impactful changes and improve customer value.

You will lead the discovery and documentation of business requirements, translate product vision into measurable outcomes, and map current and future state processes. You will facilitate workshops, engage with a wide range of stakeholders, and ensure business readiness through governance support and supplier evaluation.

This contract role offers the opportunity to influence how we deliver transformation, mentor others, and contribute to a programme that is focused on improving customer journeys and operational efficiency.

We have multiple 12 month contract roles across key programmes, collaborating with product, technology, and frontline teams to drive impactful change and customer value.

Ko tō mahi | What you’ll do

  • Lead requirements gathering using MoSCoW prioritisation, ensuring traceability from business needs to user stories.

  • Translate product drivers and data insights into success metrics and testable hypotheses.

  • Map current and future state processes using WNZL tools, partnering with process and change teams to support training and adoption.

  • Build and maintain traceability matrices in collaboration with technology teams.

  • Facilitate workshops to elicit requirements, identify problems, and analyse solution options.

  • Engage stakeholders across product, transformation, compliance, operations, technology, and Human Centred Design.

  • Support benefits tracking by reporting forecast and actuals against business cases

  • Assist with RFP documentation to evaluate suppliers for key initiatives.

  • Contribute to governance artefacts including Statements of Work, closure memos, and business readiness documentation.

  • Clarify role boundaries between Business Analysts and Associate Delivery Leads to ensure alignment.

Nā tāu rourou | What will you bring?

  • 10-plus years’ experience in business analysis with exposure to a variety of large-scale Transformation initiatives across multiple domains.

  • Experience delivering outcomes in one or more of the following areas: Digital/Mobile, Finance, Revenue streams, Pricing, Payments.

  • A master of your craft with a blend of technical, analytical, and communication skills who has knowledge and experience (both practical skills and theory) to mentor junior analysts on tools, techniques or approaches to different types of work.

  • Strong experience working with a broad range of stakeholders to understand and document their requirements to discover, develop and refine their needs.

  • Excellent facilitation experience, including workshops, presentations. Able to lead workshops and actively facilitate many people from different organisations.

  • Growth mindset to develop skills and knowledge that are both deep and broad (T-shaped) to contribute to team delivery. Adaptable to change, collaboration, maintains focus on continuous improvement, and continuous delivery of business and customer value.

  • Experienced working in multiple Delivery Methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Kanban) and be able to influence/lead people and teams to take ownership and improve the way they work.

  • Exceptional verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to positively engage and influence people across all levels of the organisation with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Supporting feedback from team, stakeholders that support the above.
