We are seeking a Senior BI Data Engineer to play a key role in designing, building, and evolving our business intelligence platform. This is a hands-on position for an experienced engineer who can operate across the full BI lifecycle—from data ingestion and transformation to warehouse design, semantic modeling, reporting, and data governance. You will support and optimize our existing Microsoft BI stack (SQL Server, SSIS, SSAS, and Power BI Report Server) while helping drive our transition to Microsoft Fabric.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- End-to-end BI solution design, from source ingestion to warehouse, semantic model, and reporting layer
- Ongoing improvement of our current BI platform built on SQL Server, SSIS, SSAS, and Power BI Report Server
- Acceleration of our Microsoft Fabric adoption, including standards, best practices, and governance
- KPI definition and translation of business requirements into robust, maintainable data products
- Data quality, reconciliation, validation, root-cause analysis, and production issue resolution
- Integration of Salesforce and other external business data into a trusted analytical environment
- CI/CD, deployment automation, documentation, and operational runbooks
- Technical leadership within the BI team through strong engineering practices and knowledge sharing
WHAT YOU BRING
- 8+ years of experience in BI, data engineering, analytics engineering, or database development
- Strong expertise in SQL Server / T-SQL, SSIS, SSAS (Tabular or Multidimensional), and Power BI (including Report Server)
- Experience with Git, CI/CD, and release automation
- Deep knowledge of data warehousing, ETL/ELT, and dimensional modeling
- Proven ability to partner with stakeholders, define KPIs, and deliver impactful data solutions
- A strong ownership mindset—you challenge assumptions, improve systems, and drive better technical outcomes
- Experience improving performance, data quality, and reliability in production BI environments
- Strong communication skills in English
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric
- Familiarity with Jenkins, modern dev tools (e.g., VS Code), and BI engineering workflows
- Exposure to Python, C#, or .NET for automation
- Experience using AI-assisted tools to accelerate development
- Familiarity with Salesforce or marketing/web analytics data
