We are seeking an experienced Backend Engineer to join Microblink in supporting multiple internal services aimed at delivering high-quality data for our applications and machine learning (ML) teams. Your primary focus will be on developing and optimizing backend systems that facilitate configurable annotation workflows and enhance overall data processing efficiency.
By leveraging your problem-solving skills, you will play an important role in driving the success of our data-driven initiatives, ultimately contributing to the overall efficiency and performance of our organization and product development.

Here’s what you’ll do
- Designing and implementing configurable workflows to optimize the data annotation processes.
- Developing workforce management features, including team assignments and competency tracking systems.
- Implementing role-based access control to ensure secure and authorized access to data resources.
- Supporting assignment management for annotators, QA, and Senior QA personnel to improve quality assurance processes.
- Integrating and enhancing various annotation tools to streamline data labeling operations.
- Ensuring the backend architecture effectively supports the rendering of thousands of objects for the annotation interface.
- Contributing to knowledge management initiatives to document processes and support team collaboration.
- Integration of existing and new machine learning models for annotation optimization within the platform
- Contribute to company-wide technical decisions on individual or shared products
- Work closely with ML teams, Data Quality team, Data Annotation, Dev Ops, Product Managers and other key roles to deliver exceptional results
Here’s what you need to be successful in this role
- Strong foundation in essential software development practices, including OOP, proficiency in Git for version control, excellent team collaboration and communication skills, and a good command of the English language
- Strong experience in developing, maintaining, and optimizing applications using .NET technologies, with a solid understanding of C#
- Knowledge of relational databases such as MSSQL and document databases like MongoDB, along with experience using Elasticsearch for indexing and searching data.
- Adeptness in using React for building user interfaces, enabling effective collaboration with front-end teams and enhancing the overall user experience.
- Experience in designing and implementing RESTful APIs and microservices architectures to facilitate communication between services.
- Ability to troubleshoot issues and optimize backend processes, demonstrating strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Openness to learning new technologies and frameworks as the project evolves, maintaining a growth mindset to adapt to changing requirements.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities, facilitating collaboration with cross-functional teams and ensuring clear understanding of technical requirements.
- Demonstrate responsibility, proactivity, and a strong drive for organizational success
A plus is if you have some experience with:
- Familiarity with modern serverless architectures and experience utilizing cloud platforms such as GCP
Familiarity with OAuth/OIDC
Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes
Familiarity with OpenTelemetry
