At Westpac New Zealand, our Treasury team plays a critical role in supporting the Bank’s financial resilience and long term growth. We’re seeking a Senior Associate Treasury - Capital and Liquidity to join our NZ Treasury function, working at the centre of capital planning, liquidity strategy and regulatory engagement. This is a high impact role offering exposure to senior stakeholders, executive decision making and Board level forums, where you’ll help shape capital and liquidity outcomes that directly influence how the Bank operates.
Key accountabilities include:
Contribute to Westpac NZ’s capital strategy, including capital planning, ICAAP and dividend policy considerations
Support interpretation and application of RBNZ capital and liquidity requirements (including BS13 and APS210)
Deliver capital and liquidity analysis and reporting for Executive leadership and Board forums
Support sustainable business performance through capital and liquidity optimisation initiatives
Assist with regulatory requirements and Conditions of Registration obligations
Help coordinate and support ALCO committee activities and related executive forums
Partner with Group Treasury and internal stakeholders on capital and liquidity matters
Contribute to regulatory submissions, consultations and strategic projects

You’ll be highly organised, commercially minded, and comfortable constructively challenging where needed. You’re someone who enjoys working across teams, using data and insight to influence outcomes, and contributing to decisions that matter.
You will have:
Experience in banking or financial services, with exposure to capital and/or liquidity frameworks
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with confidence engaging senior stakeholders
Ability to analyse and interpret complex regulatory material and financial data
Experience working with large data sets; SQL and Power BI skills are beneficial
Exposure to financial reporting, forecasting or modelling is advantageous
