We’re looking for a Senior Engineer / Associate Principal Engineer to join our Bridges and Civils team within our Transportation Practice in UK Wide. This role is available in Belfast, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Newcastle, Stockton, York, Leeds, Manchester, Derby, Birmingham, Swindon, Bristol, Cardiff, Swansea, Cambridge, Chelmsford, Epsom and London - Nova.

You’ll have the chance to work on high-impact, prestigious projects across the Midlands and beyond, contributing to major local and international frameworks, as well as a variety of projects for local councils across the region.

In this role, you’ll bring your technical and delivery expertise to a variety of civil and structural design projects across new highways, rail schemes, asset management, and assessment works. Your responsibilities will include end-to-end management of design packages and projects, maintaining project profitability, and ensuring all deliverables meet our stringent quality assurance standards.

• You’ll work in large, dynamic, multidisciplinary teams, collaborating with some of the best minds in the industry. You’ll be empowered to apply your engineering acumen to solve complex problems, evaluate solutions, and implement the most suitable approaches.
• You’ll make a meaningful impact on infrastructure that supports our communities, all while advancing your career within a globally respected practice. A background in civil engineering with a passion for delivering multidisciplinary projects in highways, rail, or local authority sectors.

• Proven experience in design, maintenance, and supervision of civil or structural projects, with a focus on bridges, highways, or rail environments. Strong project management, financial control, and stakeholder engagement skills, paired with a commercial mindset.
• A collaborative, solutions-oriented approach to delivering high-quality results on time and within budget. BEng/MEng or MSc degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Chartered status and membership with ICE or IStructE. In-depth knowledge of design standards such as DMRB, MCHW, Eurocodes, and Network Rail Standards.
