Intapp is growing our team in Belfast! We are looking for a Senior Associate in our Internal Audit group.What you will do:Audit Execution and Support

  • Conduct risk-based internal audits across financial, operational, and compliance functions.
  • Perform detailed testing of internal controls, including those related to Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance.
  • Identify control gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities, and recommend actionable solutions.
  • Prepare accurate and concise workpapers, ensuring they meet professional standards.

Risk Assessment and Internal Control Evaluation

  • Assist in the development of the annual risk assessment and audit plan.
  • Evaluate the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls and ensure compliance with corporate policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with process owners to improve risk mitigation and enhance internal control frameworks.

Reporting and Communication

  • Draft audit findings and prepare clear, concise, and actionable audit reports for management review.
  • Maintain effective and ongoing communication with stakeholders throughout audit engagements.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with departments such as Finance, IT, and Operations to understand business processes and identify potential risks.
  • Support internal initiatives to enhance audit methodologies, tools, and processes.

Continuous Improvement

  • Stay updated on industry standards, regulatory requirements, and emerging risks to ensure a proactive audit approach.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of data analytics in audit processes to increase efficiency and insight.

What you will need:Education and Certification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications such as CPA, CIA, or CISA (or actively pursuing certification) are strongly preferred.

Experience

  • 3-5 years of experience in internal audit, external audit, or related fields.
  • Strong knowledge of internal controls, SOX compliance, and risk management principles.
  • Experience in [industry, e.g., technology, financial services, manufacturing] or public accounting is a plus.

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings effectively to diverse audiences.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
