About Carl Friedrik
Carl Friedrik is a travel and leather goods brand challenging traditional luxury. We design for modern professionals: timeless design, understated confidence and an uncompromising pursuit of quality. By selling direct-to-consumer and rejecting seasonal fashion, we make products built to last a lifetime. Our pieces have appeared in Succession, The White Lotus and The Gentlemen, and the brand has been recognised by The New York Times, Forbes and the iF Design Awards.

The role
We are looking for a Senior Art Director to shape how Carl Friedrik looks and feels across campaigns and eComm, from concept through production to final delivery. In this role, you’ll work closely with the Creative Director and Senior Brand Designer. This is a hands-on role which means that you will be responsible for all aspects of photo/video production, including the coordination of production logistics beyond art direction.

What you will do

  • Art direct campaigns, eComm and content across photo and video, from concept and references to on-set direction and post-production.

  • Produce small-to-midsize shoots end to end: crew and location sourcing, budgets, schedules, call sheets, product samples and logistics, bookings and vendor invoicing. On larger, seasonal campaigns, you’ll be responsible for outsourcing production logistics to agencies or freelancers.

  • Direct all eComm/packshot imagery and manage retouchers to a consistent standard.

  • Run several projects at once, from campaigns to ad-hoc briefs, keeping work on brief, on time and on budget.

  • Use AI tools to run projects efficiently: briefs, timelines, trackers, production documents and status updates.

  • Build and maintain our network of photographers, filmmakers, stylists, set designers, retouchers and agencies.

  • Bring a sharp point of view on culture, so our imagery feels relevant, not just polished.

What you will bring

  • 6+ years experience as an Art Director specializing in hands-on photo and video production, ideally in fashion or lifestyle.

  • A portfolio that shows excellent taste and culturally relevant work across campaigns and eComm/packshots

  • Proven experience producing photo/video projects, including budgets and vendor management.

  • High proficiency with AI tools for project management and day-to-day workflow.

  • Expert in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite, with strong post-production knowledge: retouching direction and photo/video editing.

  • Exceptionally organised, calm under tight timelines, and comfortable owning your workload and decisions.

  • A collaborative, low-ego way of working: you can lead, and you are happy to roll up your sleeves.

Nice to have

  • Experience producing AI imagery.

  • Video editing or motion skills (After Effects, Premiere).

Benefits

  • Competitive salary and share option scheme.

  • London office, hybrid

  • Annual company trip and regular team socials

  • A fast-growing, international team

Start date: As soon as possible.

What you need to know about the Belfast Tech Scene

If asked to name the birthplace of the RMS Titanic, you might not say Belfast. Similarly, if asked to name Europe's leading destination for foreign direct investment in new software development, Belfast might not come to mind. Yet, both are true. The city has emerged as a tech powerhouse, recently ranked among the best in the U.K. for tech careers — especially for software developers. It also leads the U.K. with the highest percentage of software development jobs advertised.
