Job purpose:
As a Senior Accountant you would lead the month‑end closing for a specific European region, manage General Ledger activities, and driving process improvements across all accounting areas.
Responsibilities:
Execute and oversee month‑end closings.
Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial analysis.
Manage Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Inventory accounting.
Ensure accuracy and compliance across all financial processes.
Participate in meetings with stakeholders and provide updates.
Support and guide junior accountants within the team.
Identify process improvements and automation opportunities.
Work with SAP and Excel to manage and analyze financial data.
Collaborate with the wider European accounting teams.
Maintain high performance during the 5‑day closing period.
Knowledge Skills and Experience:
Strong background in accounting.
Excellent command of Excel (advanced level).
Experience with SAP.
High level of English (mandatory).
Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks.
Proactive mindset with interest in process improvement and optimization.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work under pressure during closing periods.
Team‑oriented, supportive, and willing to mentor junior colleagues.
Clear communication skills and confidence in stakeholder interactions.
