The Role

We are looking for security architects who want to play a key role in shaping the security strategy and infrastructure of the Financial Services industry, one project at a time. You will be expected to be a visionary leader who excels in designing secure, scalable, and resilient systems while mentoring teams to achieve security excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement an enterprise-level security architecture strategy aligned with organizational goals and industry best practices.
  • Lead the design and implementation of secure systems, networks, and applications, ensuring adherence to security-by-design principles.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define security requirements for projects and business initiatives.
  • Evaluate and select security technologies, tools, and frameworks to address evolving threats and organizational needs.
  • Create comprehensive security blueprints for cloud, on-premise, and hybrid environments.
  • Oversee the development of secure DevOps practices, including integrating security tools within CI/CD pipelines.
  • Lead threat modeling, vulnerability management, and risk assessments to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and security standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR).
  • Provide strategic guidance and hands-on expertise for endpoint security, data protection, and identity and access management (IAM).
  • Foster a culture of security awareness across teams, providing training and mentorship to engineering and development teams.
  • Monitor emerging cybersecurity trends and threats, advising on proactive measures and innovative defense strategies.
  • Design and manage security incident response plans and ensure readiness through regular testing and updates.

Skills & Expertise

  • Extensive experience in developing and implementing security architectures.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud security (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and hybrid architectures.
  • Expertise in application security, network security, and data protection.
  • Proficiency in security frameworks and standards such as TOGAF, SABSA, NIST, and ISO 27001.
  • Hands-on experience with security technologies, including firewalls, SIEM, IAM, and endpoint protection solutions.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, or C++) is an advantage.
  • Excellent leadership and team collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, TOGAF, AWS Certified Security, or equivalent.
