What You'll Do:

This role combines security monitoring and incident response with policy development, documentation, and compliance. The successful candidate will work closely with our enterprise security platforms and external service providers while developing and maintaining security policies, procedures, and documentation that support our overall security program. Security Operations & Monitoring
Alert Triage & Investigation
- Monitor, triage, and investigate security alerts from enterprise SIEM platform
- Coordinate with external MDR service providers on endpoint-related security incidents
- Perform initial analysis and classification of security events to determine severity and impact
- Document all security events and investigations with detailed findings and recommendations
Threat Hunting & Detection
- Conduct proactive threat hunting using SIEM and endpoint detection platforms
- Develop and refine custom detection rules and hunting queries
- Analyze threat intelligence feeds and correlate with internal security data
- Identify indicators of compromise (IOCs) and potential attack patterns
- Create threat hunting reports and share findings with the security team
Security Monitoring Optimization
- Tune security monitoring tools
- Develop and maintain security monitoring dashboards and reports
- Monitor security tool health and performance
- Recommend improvements to security monitoring coverage and effectiveness
Policy Development & Documentation
Security Policy & Procedures
- Develop, review, and maintain security policies, standards, and procedures
- Create and update security documentation including runbooks and standard operating procedures
- Ensure policies align with industry frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2) and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with legal, HR, and compliance teams on policy development and implementation
- Conduct periodic policy reviews and updates to reflect changing business needs and threat landscape
Security Questionnaires & Assessments
- Complete vendor security questionnaires and customer security assessments
- Maintain security questionnaire response library and supporting documentation
- Coordinate with technical teams to gather accurate information for security assessments
- Support sales and procurement teams with security-related customer and vendor inquiries
- Track and manage security assessment requests and ensure timely completion
Compliance Documentation
- Maintain compliance documentation for audits and regulatory requirements
- Create and update security awareness training materials and documentation
- Develop incident response playbooks and security workflow documentation
- Support internal and external audit activities with documentation and evidence collection
Incident Response & Coordination
Incident Response Support
- Follow established incident response procedures and escalation protocols
- Collaborate with IT, development, and business teams during incident response
- Coordinate with external MDR providers and security consultants as needed
- Maintain incident response documentation and post-incident analysis reports
- Provide on-call coverage for after-hours security incident escalations (rotating schedule)
Governance & Compliance Support
Metrics & Reporting
- Track and report on security operations metrics and KPIs
- Create weekly and monthly security operations reports for management
- Analyze trends in security events and provide recommendations for improvement
- Support compliance reporting and audit activities as needed
Security Program Support
- Assist with security program development and maturity initiatives
- Support security awareness training program development and delivery
- Help coordinate security training programs for staff
Required Skills:
- 5+ years of experience in security operations, security analysis, or similar role
- Minimum 4 years hands-on experience with enterprise SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar, LogRhythm, or similar)
- Minimum 4 years hands-on experience with endpoint detection and response (EDR) platforms
- Strong written communication skills for policy development and technical documentation
- Knowledge of security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2, CIS Controls)
- Experience with incident response procedures and security event analysis
- Proficiency in log analysis, network traffic analysis, and digital forensics fundamentals

- Cloud security certifications (AWS Security Specialty, Azure Security Engineer)
