Boeing Defence Australia (BDA) is looking for a motivated Security Advisor to join the Global Security Team. Applicants should have demonstrated experience in supporting and maintaining protective security in a Defence or Defence Industry role.
This role is based at RAAF Base Amberley (QLD).
As a Security Advisor, you will:
- Support Boeing Defence Australia and its customers in the implementation of program security requirements, responsibilities and compliance activities.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and Boeing staff.
- Manage daily and reactive security administrative tasks set by the Program and Function.
- Deliver security briefings and training; and
- Support Emergency Management activities within RAAF base Amberley.
About you
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Experience working as a Security Specialist in a Defence Industry prime contractor or with the Australian Department of Defence is preferred but not essential.
- General understanding of the Defence Security Principles Framework (DSPF), ASIO Tech Notes, and security practices and procedures relating to high security locations and programs
- Understanding of Australian Government Classified Information management
- Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to build trust and collaborative relationships with leadership, the customer and employees
- Current Defence Security Officer Course, or the ability to quickly attain; and
- Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet Defence security requirements and hold a minimum NV1 security clearance with the ability to attain Negative Vetting Level 2 (NV2).
