About the Role

We are seeking a talented Analytics Manager, who specializes in data engineering, business intelligence, and analytics. As part of the Scalability team, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines, web applications, dashboards, and other self-service data tools to drive critical business decisions. Specifically, you will support our Commercial organization by building scalable solutions that enhance operational efficiency and unlock value from our data assets.

About the Team 

The Scalability team is a central analytics organization focused on automation, scale, and standardization to generate value efficiently across all commercial partners, products, and enablement teams. Our mission is to drive productivity and efficiency at scale through self-serve data enablement tools for the Commercial organization. We look for opportunities to enhance operational efficiency with data tools and dashboards, meaningful insights, and by integrating AI capabilities into our solutions.

About the job

  • Build and maintain robust data pipelines and data models using tools like SQL, Python, and dbt, ensuring high data integrity and performance.
  • Create and maintain dashboards and self-service tools using visualization platforms like Tableau or Mode to provide actionable insights that drive business decisions.
  • Collaborate with teams such as sales, product, engineering, and data science. Understand their needs and deliver solutions to meet business objectives.
  • Implement automation solutions and explore the integration of AI capabilities into data tools and applications to enhance productivity and decision-making.
  • Be a strategic partner for the business: Identify opportunities and create solutions to automate and scale ad hoc requests.

About You:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering, data analytics or a related field.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and Python, with experience building and maintaining data pipelines and ETL processes.
  • Proficiency in data modeling and working with tools like dbt.
  • Familiarity with cloud data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake) and data pipeline orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow).
  • Experience with visualization tools such as Tableau or Mode.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment, adapt to changing priorities, and solve complex problems.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Familiarity with AI and machine learning concepts and their application in data tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with web application development or a strong desire to learn.
  • Experience with scalable data solutions and deployment.
  • Previous experience in e-commerce, retail analytics, or advertising technology.
  • Proven track record of contributing to projects that improve operational efficiency and impact revenue.

Instacart provides highly market-competitive compensation and benefits in each location where our employees work. This role is remote and the base pay range for a successful candidate is dependent on their permanent work location. Please review our Flex First remote work policy here. Currently, we are only hiring in the following provinces: Ontario, Alberta, British Columbia, and Nova Scotia.

Offers may vary based on many factors, such as candidate experience and skills required for the role. Additionally, this role is eligible for a new hire equity grant as well as annual refresh grants. Please read more about our benefits offerings here.
