ZPE Systems & Legrand is seeking a talented and technically skilled Sales Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with customers across the EU region to strengthen existing relationships, identify new opportunities, and support ambitious growth plans. This position reports directly to the Sr. Director of Global Pre‑Sales Engineering, providing strong leadership support and global collaboration opportunities. You will play a key role in developing long‑term strategies, delivering customer‑centric technical solutions, and contributing to the overall success of our sales engineering function.
 

Responsibilities
  • Build strong relationships with customers by identifying needs and developing tailored technical solutions.
  • Understand current and future customer requirements through ongoing engagement and rapport building.
  • Provide technical and engineering information in response to customer questions and requests.
  • Identify prospective customers and support the preparation of sales call schedules.
  • Assist in preparing cost estimates through evaluation of customer documents and consultation with internal and external technical teams.
  • Act as a trusted technical advisor for current and future products.
  • Deliver technical information, product training and solution support to customers.
  • Produce sales engineering reports highlighting customer insights, market trends and solution opportunities.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge through training, workshops, publications and networking.
  • Contribute to short‑ and long‑term planning by identifying opportunities, issues and recommendations.
  • Collaborate and contribute to team outcomes as require.
     
Qualifications
  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
  • Certifications in Microsoft, Linux, or Cisco (advantageous).
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a sales engineering or customer‑facing technical role.
  • Proficiency with Windows, Linux, and Mac OS.
  • Strong knowledge of Networking, Routing Protocols, Virtual Machines/Docker.
  • Experience with Console Servers, PDUs, KVM, and Service Processors.
  • Understanding of VPN technologies such as IPsec, SSL VPN, and WireGuard.
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Confident communicator with strong presentation skills.
  • Ability to build relationships and deliver engaging, solution‑focused presentations.
