Altera is seeking a driven Sales Account Manager to join our European sales team, based in the United Kingdom. This is a key role focused on managing and expanding our business relationships—primarily with channel partners, while also supporting directly managed accounts.
This is a commission-based role, ideal for candidates who are motivated by performance and results, with earning potential tied directly to sales success.
Key ResponsibilitiesBuild and nurture trusted partnerships with customers and channel partners, developing strategies that drive Altera’s market success and exceed revenue and design goals.
Identify and pursue design opportunities through customer engagements, including meetings, workshops, and industry events—focusing on both market development and commercial success.
Ensure smooth transitions from design to revenue, collaborating with internal teams and distribution partners to deliver high-quality customer experience.
Track performance and drive results, reporting progress against targets, and coordinating internally to secure support needed to meet customer requirements and sales goals.
Qualifications & Experience
We’re looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and is excited to make a difference:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in the semiconductor industry or in a technical sales/marketing role with strong track record.
Working experience with FPGA or ASIC is beneficial
Strong customer focus with a proactive and accountable approach.
Ability to work effectively across regions and contribute to broader team goals.
Comfortable navigating a dynamic environment and managing competing priorities.
Proven ability to build and maintain trusted relationships across various stakeholders.
Clear and confident communication skills, including presentation capabilities.
Fluent in English; additional languages are advantageous.
Willingness to travel frequently within Europe.
