The Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) function provides a cross-risk view of the Bank’s risk profile across risk types, businesses and geographies. The function also owns risk type overarching responsibility (design & implementation) for key risk management capabilities, like risk appetite, risk identification and group wide stress testing.
The ERM Risk Appetite, Strategy and Research team is responsible for the design, development and implementation of the group-wide risk appetite framework and interacts with multiple stakeholders across the firm (first, second and third Line of Defence).

Your key responsibilities
- Designing and evolving the group-wide risk appetite framework focusing on the connectivity between framework components and their ability to positively impact business decision making
- Supporting subtasks related to the annual risk appetite refresh process for Deutsche Bank Group, key entities in the US & UK, and business divisions this includes a close collaboration with key stakeholders across 3 lines of defence
- Supporting adhoc adjustments to the group-wide risk appetite in reaction not anticipated changes in the operating environment or financial performance of Deutsche Bank
- Ensuring that key stakeholders are engaged on an ongoing basis and informed of material changes to the processes they execute as it relates to group risk appetite
- Maintaining related policies and procedures in line with Deutsche Bank’s policy framework
Your skills and experience
- Good knowledge of Risk Management principles and practices, specifically risk appetite
- Demonstrable experience of developing strong working relationships with business areas to facilitate successful risk management within the 3 Lines of Defence model
- Worked with Senior Stakeholders within a high pressure, time sensitive and rapidly evolving environment
- Excellent presentation and communication skills in senior management fora to concisely present complex framework components with interdependencies
- Understanding of the regulatory environment in the business and more broadly the supervisory focuses and perspective on non-financial risk
