Job Description
Based at Sky Studios Elstree, Universal Production Services is a fast-growing lighting and rigging equipment rental facility catering to the film and television production industries. We pride ourselves on delivering top-tier equipment, exceptional customer service, and operational excellence. As we continue to expand, we are seeking a creative, self-motivated individual to join a team to exclusively support the Rigging requirements at Sky Studios Elstree - the world's most sustainable film and TV studio. With 13 sound stages the studios are host to major motion pictures and television productions.
The Rigging Account Manager is a full time position with responsibility across the entire range of the rental operational area.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- You will be responsible for managing the Construction, Electrical rigging accounts of productions on site at Sky Studios Elstree - this may also include other departments, when required, such as Grips, Stunts, SFX, VFX and Props etc.
- Working alongside the Rigging Coordinator you will manage the allocation of all departmental orders and sub hire.
- Cultivate and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with existing and potential clients, ensuring exceptional customer service through responsiveness, professionalism, and resourcefulness.
- Act as a primary point of contact for clients, production teams, and vendors, delivering personalised service and tailored solutions.
- Manage incoming orders for rigging equipment, providing accurate quotes and overseeing the complete process from order to delivery.
- Act as the liaison between production crews, studios, and vendors, ensuring seamless communication and execution.
- Oversee and manage the day-to-day equipment requests for film and television productions, ensuring all needs are met with precision and efficiency.
- Coordinate customer deliveries and collections.
- Maintain and update detailed client records, including add-ons, exchanges, purchase orders (PO's), sub-rentals, missing and damaged equipment, and returns (wrap).
- Collaborate with yard staff to ensure accurate processing of equipment orders, changes, and exchanges.
- Negotiate with sub-rental vendors and equipment suppliers to secure favourable pricing and ensure optimal service terms.
- Ensure completed paperwork is appropriately organised and sent to the billing department.
- Handle problem situations and resolve them as they arise.
- Facilitate equipment inspections with production teams, rental partners, and studio representatives to ensure compliance with industry standards and client expectations.
- Provide support and assume additional responsibilities as directed by the Senior Rigging Manager to enhance overall client service and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Industry experience in film, television, and commercial rigging equipment rental.
- Proven sales experience with a strong track record of building and managing customer relationships.
- Technical understanding of rigging equipment and interest in film production techniques.
- Must be computer literate with detailed working knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel, Outlook) required. Rental software Rental Tracker Pro knowledge a plus.
- Demonstrate exceptional customer service with a strong sense of urgency, consistently exceeding client expectations.
- Ability to manage multiple complex orders simultaneously, prioritising tasks to ensure timely and accurate delivery of services.
- Demonstrated ability to handle stressful situations professionally and confidentially as well as interact with co-workers and clients professionally.
- Demonstrate the ability to navigate complex situations and personalities with professionalism and tact.
- Exhibit a confident, solution-oriented attitude with a focus on team success and client satisfaction.
- Flexibility to work outside of regular business hours as required to meet client needs and project timelines.
