Your Role

As an Engineering Manager with a Python Data Engineering background at RoomPriceGenie, you'll step into an exciting, fast-paced role at a rapidly growing B2B SaaS company. You'll join our new Reporting & Customer Journey team to take on diverse and impactful responsibilities that drive our success, including:

• Manage a super-motivated team of data, backend, and frontend engineers to create innovative solutions that improve our reporting & analytics for customers.

• Cultivate a strong engineering organization and vibrant development culture, fostering an environment where creativity and excellence thrive.

• Partner closely with your Product Manager and UI/UX Designer, from conception to post-deployment in a dynamic, collaborative setting.

• Work closely with the CTO and other experienced Engineering Managers, shaping how we work at RoomPriceGenie.

• We don't believe in full-time engineering managers. You will still spend up to 50% of your time coding. Your insights and expertise will shape our technical direction.

• Tech stack: We use Python for the backend and React and TypeScript for the front end. We host almost everything on AWS, except our data warehouse, where we prefer Snowflake. We use DataDog and Sentry for monitoring.

Your Profile

• 3+ years of professional development experience with Python Data Engineering, ideally with Snowflake —you're seasoned and ready to tackle new challenges.

• 1-2 years + of experience managing an engineering team, including doing 1on1s, performance reviews, overseeing projects and technical coaching & mentoring.

• Strong understanding of architectural and software design principles that drive quality and maintainability.

• Excellent communication skills—you can articulate ideas clearly and collaborate effectively.

• High ownership mentality—you take pride in your work and see projects through to completion.

• A true team player—egoless and empathetic, you thrive in a collaborative environment.

• Fluent in English, with a knack for engaging in technical discussions.

• Based in the European Time Zone (UTC+0 / UTC+2) to align with our team's schedules.
