About the Role

The Managed Services team at Behavox is responsible for reviewing Trade and eComms surveillance alerts to support new and existing clients, offering high quality analysis and investigation to reduce regulatory risk. The team also works to improve our Compliance product to allow expansion, and support for new or existing clients in multiple markets. This team is responsible for ensuring that the quality of our product meets (or exceeds) the expectations of clients and regulators and is considerate of the risks facing the market across the different industry verticals.

This Regulatory Surveillance Analyst role is an exciting opportunity for the right talented individual to: 

1. Review eComms and Trade surveillance alerts, be involved in improving the Compliance product to allow expansion, and provide support for new clients in multiple markets.        
2. Work in a space in which you will continuously learn and stay abreast of what is happening in the risk and regulatory landscape.        
3. Influence the product design of a high growth AI based company, working alongside other talented Subject Matter Experts and stakeholders across the organization.

This is a hybrid position based out of our Belfast office.

What You'll Bring

  • A deep and genuine interest in Behavox as demonstrated by a connection to its mission, marketplace and/or technologies
  • Strong knowledge of market abuse and other forms of misconduct that manifest in financial services firms
  • Good understanding of the regulatory landscape and where to find relevant guidance and insights on regulatory topics
  • Good understanding of "trader speak" including surveillance operating models and governance
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) accompanied by excellent analytical skills

What You'll Do

  • Decode "trader lingo/speak" and liaise with front office staff to understand complex trading concepts
  • Understand and articulate the various forms of market abuse, conflicts of interest, and other potential misconduct within the financial domain
  • Identify / escalate non-standard communications or activities that hint at potential misconduct
  • Stay abreast of recent regulatory and market changes/events to identify enhancements required to surveillance controls or framework (or other compliance related processes and controls)
  • Work proactively and autonomously on complex projects that require research, analyze data and take data-driven decisions that contribute to specific business goals
