We are seeking a talented individual to join our Sales team at Marsh, based in either Edinburgh or Glasgow. The successful candidate will oversee the execution of the sales strategy, collaborating with various leaders to drive growth and enhance client relationships across Scotland.

The role: Regional Sales Manager

Are you an experienced Sales Manager with a background in Insurance Broking, or a Business Development Broker ready to take the next step into a leadership role? We want to hear from you!

In this exciting position, you will lead a dynamic team of 4 Business Development Executives across the entire Scottish region. You'll be responsible for nurturing relationships with the 5 key Heads of Office while also driving your own new business initiatives to meet targets.

We will rely on you to:

  • Work in tandem with the National Sales Leader, Regional CEO, Region Divisional leaders, Heads of office, and Vertical Leaders to develop and execute the annual growth strategy for the business.

  • Become a key member of the National Sales executive committee, identifying and developing colleague and client campaigns, growth strategies, and solutions.

  • Identify opportunities for new business, driving the new business funnel.

  • Lead, support, and execute national and international growth campaigns in the region.

  • Collaborate with the wider Marsh McLennan group of companies to unlock growth opportunities.

  • Chair regular sales meetings and advocate for sales as a key growth lever, promoting the correct use of pipeline management sales tools.

  • Provide monthly data-driven management reports on performance and pipeline.

  • Grow, coach, and develop the national sales team aligned to Marsh training modules.

What you need to have:

  • Previous experience within an Insurance Broker

  • Proven experience in sales strategy execution and business development.

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach and develop teams.

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills at executive and operational levels.
