SALARY: £21,800 - £24,800

CONTRACT TYPE: 12‑Month Fixed Term Contract

JOB PROFILE DESCRIPTION

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES IN THE BUSINESS:

About the Role

We’re looking for a proactive and creative Graduate to join our Recruitment Marketing team. This is a hands-on role where you’ll play a key part in shaping how we attract talent through engaging, high-quality content.

This isn’t a role where you’ll be waiting for instructions. We’re looking for someone who can take initiative, spot opportunities, and bring fresh ideas to life; particularly through digital and video content.

You’ll work closely with both Marketing and Talent Acquisition, helping us tell authentic stories, promote opportunities, and build a strong employer brand in a competitive market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create engaging content to support recruitment campaigns across social media, careers pages, blogs, and internal channels

  • Plan, film, and edit video content (e.g. employee stories, day-in-the-life, event highlights)

  • Write compelling blog content to showcase employee stories, company culture, and key initiatives

  • Identify content opportunities and proactively suggest new ideas or formats

  • Support the delivery of recruitment marketing campaigns and initiatives

  • Work with stakeholders across the business to gather stories and content

  • Assist with promoting events, early careers initiatives, and internal mobility campaigns

  • Monitor content performance and suggest improvements based on insights

  • Stay up to date with social media trends and bring innovative ideas to the team

  • Identify content opportunities and proactively suggest new ideas or formats

What We’re Looking For:

Essential Criteria:

  • Currently studying towards, or already obtained, at least a Level 6 bachelor's degree in a relevant subject such as Marketing, Communications, CAM, Media Studies, Business etc

  • A self-starter who uses initiative and isn’t afraid to take ownership

  • Creative thinker with the ability to generate fresh, engaging ideas

  • Strong communication skills - both written and verbal

  • A genuine Interest in marketing, branding, or content creation

  • Ability to work at pace and respond quickly to opportunities

  • Strong team player with the ability to take direction and collaborate effectively

  • Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Willingness to explore generative technologies (e.g., Generative AI) to drive innovation

Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience creating content for social media (personal or academic is fine)

  • Basic video filming and editing skills (e.g. CapCut, Premiere Pro, Canva, etc.)

  • Understanding of platforms like LinkedIn, Instagram, or TikTok and what content performs well on each

  • Basic understanding of content performance metrics (e.g. likes, engagement rate, reach, click-through rate)

  • Exposure to analytics tools such as Google Analytics or in-platform insights (e.g. LinkedIn or Instagram analytics)

  • Experience working on campaigns, projects, or creative briefs

What You’ll Gain:

  • Real responsibility from day one; this is not a “shadowing” role

  • The opportunity to build a strong portfolio of content and campaigns

  • Experience working across both marketing and recruitment

  • Exposure to stakeholders across the business

  • The chance to shape how we attract talent and tell our story

The Kind of Person Who Will Thrive Here:

  • You don’t wait to be told what to do; you spot gaps and act

  • You’re curious, ideas-driven, and always thinking “how could this be better?”

  • You’re comfortable putting yourself forward and trying new things

  • You enjoy creating - whether that’s video, social posts, or storytelling

  • You can take feedback on board and continuously improve

What you need to know about the Belfast Tech Scene

If asked to name the birthplace of the RMS Titanic, you might not say Belfast. Similarly, if asked to name Europe's leading destination for foreign direct investment in new software development, Belfast might not come to mind. Yet, both are true. The city has emerged as a tech powerhouse, recently ranked among the best in the U.K. for tech careers — especially for software developers. It also leads the U.K. with the highest percentage of software development jobs advertised.
