We are seeking a QHSE Adviser to join our team, focusing on translating QHSE policies and procedures into actionable insights for both our leadership and wider workforce. Your role in our mission
As a QHSE Advisor at Nucleus, Wick, you will play a crucial role in:
Bridging the Gap(s): Effectively communicate QHSE requirements and best practices to all levels of the Nucleus site, from senior management to frontline staff.
Visibility & Influence: Be a visible presence across the Nucleus site, actively observing, identifying, and raising QHSE concerns and opportunities for improvement.
Promoting Awareness:Assist in developing and delivering engaging QHSE briefings and training sessions. Templates and presentations will be supported by the QHSWE Officer.
Support & Guidance:Provide basic QHSE advice and support to all departments. Help and support are available upon request from the QHSWE Officer.
Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the ongoing development and implementation of our QHSE management systems, in engagement with the QHSWE Document Control Coordinator.
Completing Basic QHSE Requirements: Complete basic QHSE requirements such as workplace inspections, checks, and cross-referencing aspects with compliance or legislative guidance and regulations.
This role is designed for development, and additional responsibilities will be added once competent and after regular reviews with the QHSWE Officer.
Your role in our mission
A foundational understanding of either Quality, Health, Safety, or Environmental principles.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex information into clear and concise instructions, supported by the QHSWE Officer.
A proactive and enthusiastic approach, with a desire to learn and develop in this interesting industry.
The ability to work independently and as part of a team within the Nucleus site.
A commitment to fostering a strong 'best in class' safety culture for the Nucleus site.
Any relevant experience in influencing or engaging staff in any aspect.
A strong desire to raise and bring items to the QHSWE Manager or Site Archive Manager so that they can advise and address where necessary.
General interest in working with all levels/departments within the Nucleus site structure, collaborating with staff to help and support where possible. Further help, support, and guidance are available from the QHSWE Officer and Site Archive Manager or Departmental Leads.
