An exciting opportunity for a driven Test Automation Engineer, to define and impact the strategic test

automation approach across a cutting-edge, award-winning department in the Bank’s Technology, Data & Innovation (TDI) division.

As the QA Lead Automation Engineer for Archiving Technology, working with Test Engineers and Product colleagues, you will play a key role in ensuring a thorough and consistent approach to Test Automation across our domain.

You will lead the development and maintenance of Test Automation frameworks and scripts across Archiving Technology for both Functional and Non-Functional testing activities, analysing results and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.

Your key responsibilities

  • Standardisation, Continuous Improvement & Maintenance of Test Automation Framework across the Archiving Technology including coding guidelines
  • Standard automation test approach to test the different layers of the Product i.e. UI, API, Database, etc.
  • Automated Test Automation Dashboards for Archiving Tech
  • Coach and mentor the junior Quality Engineers on Test Automation
  • Knowledge sharing of approach and solution to Test Automation issues/challenges by demonstration
  • Standardising the definition of Non-Financial Risk (NFR) & related performance Testing approach; Adherence to Bank’s Performance monitoring standards

Your skills and experience

  • Experience of defining & implementing Test Automation strategies in large IT organisations, ideally working in an Agile framework operating a CI/CD DevOps approach
  • Thorough understanding of TDD and BDD techniques including Gerkin, Cucumber syntax
  • Understanding of Automated design patterns – Page Object Model; Factory Design Pattern, FaçadePattern, Singleton Pattern
  • Significant experience of following tools: - Selenium & Serenity Automation framework; TestNG; Junit; LoadRunner/Performance Centre; JMeter; Integrating test automation with Jenkins & Team City
  • Demonstrable experience of defining Non-Functional Requirements and developing performance testing automation frameworks
  • Good working knowledge of JIRA, Confluence, SharePoint online, O365, ServiceNow
