Why SailPoint?

Love what you do. And love where you do it. Smart people, fun culture, innovative work, beautiful offices — oh, and everyone’s really nice. That’s what people say about SailPoint. We’re known as the company where everyone wants to work, and we have the awards to prove it.

If you’re passionate about outsmarting cybercriminals and working at a company where you can truly have an impact, we want you to join our team.

SailPoint empowers the largest, most complex organizations by putting identity at the Center of Security and IT. Our 2,000+ customers include global financial institutions, government entities, and pharmaceutical organizations.

Who You Are:

You are a self-directed, highly motivated, and experienced professional who can seamlessly oversee multiple projects. It is easy for you to develop professional working relationships and you are comfortable interacting with peers and customers at all levels within an organization. You have worked closely with project teams, vendors, and internal stakeholders to successfully complete deliverables and coordinate staffing needs. You are an exceptional communicator with experience in planning for and achieving challenging deadlines, assessing, and mitigating project risks, and proactively resolving unexpected issues. You need to be based in Japan and speak fluent English and Japanese.

What You’ll Do:

Project Managers (PM) at SailPoint begin with a structured onboarding and mentorship program to orient themselves with our SaaS and/or Software delivery and models. Within 1-2 months, then you will lead customer projects by preparing project plans, meeting with internal teams and customers on a weekly basis, tracking progress and deliverable completion, maintaining project status, forecasting, and budget reporting, and documenting project risks and issues. After 6 months, you will have demonstrated a strong understanding of our delivery methodology and led significant PM duties for small-medium projects, e.g., hosting project kickoffs and weekly meetings and maintained project budgets, timelines, milestones, and risk management. Within 1 year, you will be expected to manage all project management duties for various project types and complexity resulting in a self-sustaining project management portfolio.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute project management duties for Phase 1 (and other PS) customer engagements

  • Manage project stakeholders and customer expectations, ensuring customer concerns, risks, and requirements are anticipated, documented, and resolved proactively

  • Create and consistently update comprehensive project documentation (project plans, weekly status and budget reports, and risks and issues logs) in appropriate repositories

  • Assist engagement managers with maintaining project scope and address any change order needs promptly, as applicable

  • Provide accurate updates on project progress to customers and SailPoint management

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of professional work experience as part of a Software, SaaS, or consulting company, including 3+ years of formal project manager experience

  • Excellent organization and communication skills

  • Experience working with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders

  • Experience with essential project management duties (project planning, managing budgets, monitoring project scope, owning stakeholder communication, and risk management)

  • Experience managing projects across multiple teams and geographies to ensure projects are delivered to specification, on-time, and within budget

Certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP) a plus, or Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)

Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred, not required or equivalent work experience

Travel: Up to 15%

What you need to know about the Belfast Tech Scene

If asked to name the birthplace of the RMS Titanic, you might not say Belfast. Similarly, if asked to name Europe's leading destination for foreign direct investment in new software development, Belfast might not come to mind. Yet, both are true. The city has emerged as a tech powerhouse, recently ranked among the best in the U.K. for tech careers — especially for software developers. It also leads the U.K. with the highest percentage of software development jobs advertised.
