- Safety policy and objectives
- Safety risk management
- Safety assurance
- Safety promotion
Principal accountabilities:
Working under the Safety Manager, the Safety Practitioner will primarily support the Safety Risk Management (SRM) activity. The job holder will:
- Support the day-to-day activities within the Safety Office
- Assess the product safety impact of operational changes (eg work transfer or relocation of plant/equipment)
- Develop & implement root cause corrective action plans and control plans
- Assist SMS and Human Factors training development and delivery of training Programmes
- Assess the effectiveness of SMS training and safety promotion
- Analyse results of safety data to improve the organisations Safety Management System (SMS), including Governance of SPI's & escalation of performance issues
- Create and maintain a Hazard Log Register
- Conduct Risk assessments and influence mitigation processes
- Conduct internal safety investigation
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

- Possess a minimum of a HNC in an Engineering discipline and have a minimum of 3 years' relevant experience within Quality, Engineering, Operations Engineering/Methods/Manufacturing or Operations.
- Good understanding of QMS and Regulatory requirements and Company approvals.
- Have an awareness of SMS principles
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- An understanding of risk management processes and how to identify and manage hazards
DESIREABLE EXPERIENCE
- An appreciation for human and organisational influences
- Awareness of change management processes and the hazards presented by change
