About Plum

Hey! We’re Plum, your smart saving and investing app on a mission to help grow money for life. Whether you’re stashing the cash for tea and toast in your first home or catching some rays during retirement, Plum’s got your back. Since 2016, over 2 million people in 10 European markets have set aside more than £2 billion with our clever automation and AI – that’s the magic of Plum! As recognition for our work, we’ve received awards from the likes of Deloitte, Finder, and more. That’s all down to our passionate team of 200+ Plumsters, who work around Europe to help us achieve our mission. And now we’re looking for more brilliant people to join us on our journey.

About the role

We’re really excited to be hiring for our next Product Marketing Manager! You’ll be joining our team of two, expanding the impact of Product Marketing throughout the company.

We’re looking for someone who’s excited about translating Plum’s unique saving and automation products into clear, differentiated and distinctive positioned products that are super compelling to our audience.

You’ll be responsible for communicating the narrative, features and benefits of our savings, investment and automation products in a way that makes sense for our audience. It’s a really exciting time to join Plum as we build out a full suite of products that help people save for the short, medium and long term.

You’ll sit in our marketing team, mainly based in London – but you’ll spend equal time between our product and marketing teams. On the product side, you’ll be working with Product Managers and Designers to craft compelling products and eventually take them to market. On the marketing side, you’ll be crafting compelling positioning and messaging and coordinating channel owners to launch new products and help grow existing ones via campaigns.

Role responsibilities

  • Craft compelling messaging and positioning that clearly articulates the benefits of Plum's products.
  • Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for new product features and releases, making sure they align with our brand and business objectives.
  • Conduct market and competitor analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges, informing our product and marketing strategies.
  • Collaborate with the product team to gain deep product knowledge and act as a bridge to our marketing teams by communicating clearly, effectively and efficiently.
  • Create and manage engaging and informative product content.
  • Work within cross-functional teams to deliver impactful product launches, campaigns, and seasonal activities.
  • Measure and analyse the effectiveness of product marketing initiatives, adjusting strategies as needed to maximise impact.

Requirements

  • You have at least 2 years experience in a similar product marketing role.
  • You’re a storyteller: you have excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical features into clear, compelling benefits.
  • You have a strong understanding of the product and customer lifecycles and experience in managing go-to-market strategies for tech products.
  • Your instinct is to advocate for customers and you obsess over understanding their needs and wants.
  • You’re a team player and can work cross-functionally with lots of different disciplines and stakeholders. You can influence others both through presentations and casual conversations.
  • You like thinking creatively and enjoy running brainstorms.
  • You have a data-driven mindset and can use the right insights to create effective, efficient marketing.

What you need to know about the Belfast Tech Scene

If asked to name the birthplace of the RMS Titanic, you might not say Belfast. Similarly, if asked to name Europe's leading destination for foreign direct investment in new software development, Belfast might not come to mind. Yet, both are true. The city has emerged as a tech powerhouse, recently ranked among the best in the U.K. for tech careers — especially for software developers. It also leads the U.K. with the highest percentage of software development jobs advertised.
