Product Manager / Product Owner - Accuris Thread
Location: Gdańsk, Poland • On-site • Hybrid 2/3 days a week
About Accuris Thread
Accuris Thread is a cloud-based requirements management solution that automatically identifies, extracts, and enriches requirements from engineering content - including standards, codes, design guides, and internal specifications. It packages those requirements for seamless integration into product lifecycle management, requirements management, and digital modelling tools, preserving full traceability back to the source material.
Thread is used by engineering organisations across aerospace and defence, manufacturing, medical devices, and energy to reduce the time and risk involved in requirements decomposition - cutting what was once days of manual work down to minutes, with a 90% accuracy rate in requirements identification. It connects data and models across the entire engineering lifecycle, enabling better collaboration, change management, and end-to-end traceability.
About the role
We are looking for a hands-on Product Manager / Product Owner to join the Accuris Thread team in Gdańsk. You will be the bridge between business stakeholders and the development teams building Thread - responsible for translating high-level product epics into well-defined features and user stories, actively driving sprint progress, and ensuring that delivered increments meet acceptance criteria through rigorous testing.
Working closely with engineers, architects, and UX/UI designers, you will help shape how Thread evolves - from its core requirements extraction capabilities to its integrations with third-party PLM and requirements management platforms. This is a delivery-focused, on-site position best suited to someone who thrives in a collaborative engineering software environment and takes pride in both the clarity of their requirements and the quality of what ships.
Core responsibilities• Analyse and elaborate product epics for Accuris Thread, decomposing them into clearly defined features with detailed acceptance criteria.• Break features down into granular, well-structured user stories ready for sprint planning, including edge cases and dependencies.• Manage and maintain a prioritised product backlog, ensuring the development team always has a clear, groomed queue of work.• Own the acceptance process - thoroughly test delivered user stories against acceptance criteria before formal sign-off.• Track and communicate development progress, flagging risks and blockers to stakeholders in a timely manner.• Facilitate and participate in sprint ceremonies (planning, review, retrospective) as the Product Owner voice on the team.• Support the creation of new epics for emerging Thread feature ideas in collaboration with stakeholders and product leadership.• Coordinate cross-functional discussions with Architecture, Software Development, and UX/UI teams to align on feasibility, design decisions, and technical constraints - particularly around Thread's integrations with PLM and requirements management systems.
Required qualifications• 3+ years of experience in a Product Owner or Product Manager role within a software development environment.• Demonstrated ability to write high-quality user stories and acceptance criteria in Agile/Scrum frameworks.• Ability to follow and promote best practices of product development workflow from discovery to delivery, UAT, etc.• Hands-on experience conducting functional testing or UAT of software features.• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical stakeholders.• Experience working with backlog management tools; Azure DevOps is a plus.• Comfortable working fully on-site in Gdańsk.• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, reprioritising effectively as business needs and product direction evolve• Proficiency in English (written and spoken); Polish is a plus.
Nice to have• Familiarity with engineering or technical domains - particularly requirements management, standards, or PLM/ALM tools (e.g. DOORS, Polarion, Teamcenter, Windchill).• Technical Product Owner experience or software developer experience with ability to prepare technical features and stories.• Experience conducting user interviews or usability testing to translate findings into actionable product requirements and validate product decisions.• Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or equivalent certification.• Prior experience collaborating with UX/UI designers on feature discovery or wireframe review.• Familiarity with architectural concepts and ability to participate in technical design discussions.• Experience writing or reviewing BDD-style acceptance criteria (Gherkin / Given-When-Then).• Background in a B2B SaaS or enterprise software environment.

What you need to know about the Belfast Tech Scene

If asked to name the birthplace of the RMS Titanic, you might not say Belfast. Similarly, if asked to name Europe's leading destination for foreign direct investment in new software development, Belfast might not come to mind. Yet, both are true. The city has emerged as a tech powerhouse, recently ranked among the best in the U.K. for tech careers — especially for software developers. It also leads the U.K. with the highest percentage of software development jobs advertised.
