The world's top investors, including Accel, Balderton, Iconiq, and Tencent, have invested in Primer's vision to rebuild payments and commerce from the ground up.

Join us in shaping the future of payments and commerce.

Which team will you be joining?

A Primer payment is worth so much more than a regular payment!

In Acceptance team we build a foundation of seamless, scalable, and reliable payments - across any provider, method, or market.

This team covers: Primer Checkout, Payment Processing, Payments API, Tokenization, BIN Data, 3D Secure, Developer Tools, Public Docs, Payment List & Timeline, Loyalty & Workflows Engine

Reporting to the Group Product Manager, you’ll join a team of Product Managers, Designers & Software Engineers all working together.

🔍 What will you be doing?
  • Own the product strategy and roadmap for a range of Acceptance products - define what we build, why it matters, and how we’ll deliver value to our merchants and the business

  • Lead end-to-end product development - from shaping discovery and identifying problems worth solving, to partnering with engineers to bring high-impact solutions to life

  • Drive merchant engagement - speak directly with our customers to gather insights, validate product decisions, and ensure we're solving real problems that unlock growth

  • Act as the connective tissue between engineering, design, and commercial teams - championing clear communication, removing blockers, and aligning everyone around a shared vision

  • Own product outcomes, not just output - you’ll be accountable for driving adoption, increasing revenue, and measuring the success of your features post-launch

  • Be a technical translator - while you don’t need to write code, you’ll work closely with engineers and speak their language to build technically sound, scalable products

  • Partner on go-to-market - collaborate with commercial and marketing teams to launch new features successfully and bring value to our merchants, fast

👀 What we’d love to see:
  • Commercially driven mindset - you think like a business owner, always looking for opportunities to drive revenue, grow adoption, and create measurable impact

  • Technically fluent - you understand how APIs, SDKs, and developer tools work, allowing you to have deep, productive conversations with engineers and make informed product decisions

  • Exceptional communicator and storyteller - whether you’re presenting to leadership or simplifying complex ideas for merchants, you can craft a compelling narrative

  • True ownership mentality - you don’t just ship features; you take full accountability for their success, constantly iterating based on feedback and outcomes

  • Highly autonomous and proactive - you thrive in fast-paced environments, take initiative, and push forward even in ambiguity

  • Customer-obsessed - you’re constantly seeking to understand merchant needs, pain points, and opportunities to delight them

  • B2B native - you bring experience working on complex business products, ideally in fintech, where balancing user needs and commercial goals is second nature

🚫 You may not like it here if:
  • You enjoy working in an office-setting, we are remote-first and always will be!

  • You are not comfortable with shifting context and navigating ambiguity

  • You don’t enjoy testing your code, we have no testers or QA’s here at Primer

✅ Our interview process
  • 30 minute call with a Talent Partner

  • 60 minute interview with our Group Product Manager for Acceptance

  • Take home task followed by a 60 minute interview with Product

  • 60 minute final stage values-alignment interview

  • 30 minute interview with our Head of Product

What’s life like at Primer?

We’ve been recognised as a top global employer, #1 in FinTech for ‘flexibility’!

We’re building a culture where people can come and do their best work and enjoy it. We want our people to be proud of the impact that they have at Primer, and of the work that they are doing. You will be working with a team of people who are mission-driven, smart, and reflective, and who are invested in building exceptional products and delivering success for our merchants (and we also know how to have fun along the way).

We work remotely. We believe that building a successful, profitable company goes beyond proximity. We invest in our relationships with each other through great remote working practices and thoughtfully designed face-to-face time together. Our heads-together time comes in the form of workstations, our annual company retreat, and co-working space access worldwide.

Finally, let’s go ahead and say it. The work that we do is challenging. Startups are a challenge, building category defining products is a challenge. You should be prepared for a challenge at Primer. But, there’s a big difference between a challenge and a struggle. The key difference is that the right challenge comes with the right support structures, an acceptance that not everything always goes to plan, a collaborative environment, and a great team around you. It’s never a challenge that you will face alone.

What you need to know about the Belfast Tech Scene

If asked to name the birthplace of the RMS Titanic, you might not say Belfast. Similarly, if asked to name Europe's leading destination for foreign direct investment in new software development, Belfast might not come to mind. Yet, both are true. The city has emerged as a tech powerhouse, recently ranked among the best in the U.K. for tech careers — especially for software developers. It also leads the U.K. with the highest percentage of software development jobs advertised.
