About the team
The Recommendations Product team is dedicated to building an AI/ ML first personalization and monetization optimization platform that powers all the streaming experiences across the Roku ecosystem. The team is vital in driving growth across key company KPIs, leading to improvements in Viewer Engagement, Subscription Signup growth, Daily user reach, Customer satisfaction, and more. With Generative-AI, we are now rapidly solving streaming content discovery problems that were previously expensive. We aim to build a personalization engine that seamlessly powers Roku’s platform experiences and subscription touchpoints with user individualization in mind.
About the role
We are seeking a product management intern to join us in Summer of 2025 to work on one or more projects that directly impact core business metrics. Some examples include revenue optimization across different revenue sources, expanding signal depth and breadth while maximizing top-level objectives or developing a model to maximize subscription revenue through churn reduction and growing sign-ups.
What you'll be doing
- Understand AI/ML landscape at Roku and how it impacts Roku’s business.
- Work with product management, engineering, data science and/or UX to understand current state, identify opportunities and develop recommendations on the path forward.
- Get alignment with project stakeholders and present a case based on the recommendations.
We're excited if you have
- Currently enrolled in a full-time, degree-seeking program and in the process of obtaining a Bachelor’s or Master's degree in computer science or a related field. Due to graduate in December 2025 or later.
- Experience in project / product management tools and processes.
- Knowledge or experience in machine learning, personalization, recommendations, or a similar area.
- Curiosity and desire to learn through research and data-driven practices.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
