An opportunity to play your part – As our Procurement Risk Manager, you'll be at the forefront of identifying, assessing, mitigating, and monitoring risks within our procurement and supply chain functions. Your mission will be to ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices, all while optimizing supplier relationships and protecting the organization from supply disruptions, financial losses, and reputational damage. You'll also play a crucial role in collaborating across departments to align procurement risk activities with our broader enterprise risk management framework. The day to day:
- Craft and implement innovative risk management strategies and frameworks that set new standards for procurement activities.
- Dive deep into supplier risk assessments, conducting thorough due diligence and maintaining vigilant ongoing monitoring.
- Orchestrate both operational and strategic risk assessment procedures, ensuring seamless harmony across multi-level reporting processes.
- Uncover and analyse potential risks hidden within procurement processes, contracts, and vendor performance.
- Collaborate creatively with category teams, legal, compliance, ESG, finance risk, and business unit leaders to weave effective risk mitigation into vendor agreements and sourcing strategies.
- Engage regularly with business units, ensuring procurement risks are in perfect sync with the overall enterprise risk landscape.
- Keep a keen eye on market trends, geopolitical developments, and other external factors that could impact vendor performance and supply chain risk.
- Lead the creation and maintenance of dynamic procurement risk registers and insightful reports.
- Spearhead all Procurement RACC activities, supporting broader business RACC attendance for Procurement with flair.
- Design and implement key risk indicators (KRIs) and metrics that creatively evaluate supplier and category risk in line with ERM frameworks.
- Champion business continuity planning and develop robust, imaginative supplier contingency strategies.
- Conduct assurance and investigations related to procurement risk issues with a detective's precision.
About You:
- Significant experience in navigating the complexities of a risk management environment.
- Extensive expertise in procurement risk management, compliance, and governance.
- Strong leadership skills with a proven track record of managing high-performing teams.
- Mastery of risk frameworks and procurement best practices.
- Confident and experienced in leading cross-functional forums, meetings, and committees.
- Academic background in Business Administration, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.
- Profound knowledge of risk management frameworks, tools, and procurement best practices.
- Expertise in third-party risk management, contract negotiations, and compliance.
