We are looking for a fast learner and hands-on Marketing Procurement Manager to join Adyen's Procurement & Vendor Management team, a dynamic global team within our Finance function. The goal of the team is to contribute to Adyen’s 10x ambition through sustainable commercial decisions, risk mitigation, contract and vendor management, ultimately empowering stakeholders to deliver their strategies. Initially, you will focus on supporting the Marketing organization with their vendor relationships, enabling their strategies by adding value to existing and new vendor relationships, but as Adyen grows, and the Procurement team with it, this scope might change and increase in the future.
What you'll do
- Act as a business partner to internal stakeholders in the different Marketing teams, delivering value and enabling their strategies.
- Lead and initiate commercial negotiations, including setting up new overarching agreements with strategic and new vendors.
- Develop and implement a category plan for Marketing and its sub-categories, aligned with your stakeholders.
- Responsible for supplier screening, onboarding, and due diligence of new partners and vendors in your scope.
- Tracking and reporting on industry trends to your stakeholders and internally to your leadership.
Who you are
- You have 5+ years of relevant experience, including category management and sourcing strategy development and implementation.
- Experience with procurement of marketing services is required. This includes advertising, agencies (creative, events, PR, etc.), marketing technology tooling, and other marketing services.
- You're well-organized and like to solve problems with a pragmatic approach.
- You're data driven with an analytical mindset and strong interpersonal skills.
- You have a global mindset, and are able to work across time zones and cultures.
- You have project management skills, are resourceful, and able to work independently.
- You have a commercial mindset, and are able to analyze and present complex deals.
