Role Summary

You will be responsible for support and delivery of PAM services across EQ to ensure privileged accounts and privileged access to critical systems is properly managed and controlled.

This role will report into the PAM Team Lead, being part of a team of 4+ staff located across UK and India.

Core Duties and Responsibilities

As PAM Engineer you will be responsible for managing the Beyond Trust Privileged Access Management (PAM) service and supporting infrastructure as well as assisting in the management and mentoring of the existing PAM team members.

  • Act as a subject matter expert for all things PAM related.  
  • Work with the team lead to ensure patterns and practices are consistently embedded into EQ infrastructure, applications, and services.
  • Act as a strong team mentor driving delivery and operational excellence across the team.
  • Support the team lead in the definition and delivery of the strategic direction for PAM across EQ businesses, outlining key PAM initiatives to strengthen the EQ control environment, aligned to regulatory and compliance requirements and to EQ Group objectives.
  • Drive the execution, delivery, and support of privileged access management services and develop, enact, and enforce privileged access runbooks and procedures.
  • Support the development of EQ’s Privileged Access capabilities, increase coverage whilst delivering improvements in operational efficiencies and reduction in complexity.
  • Build relationships with key IT and Business stakeholders to support their understanding of PAM control requirements.
  • Develop and evolve governance controls for PAM to meet the needs of regulators and other internal stakeholders, particularly in the face of new technology approaches.
  • Guide the team through complex issues and drive resolution for technical and operational issues that arise within complex and critical systems.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience

Essential:

  • Experience in designing, implementing, administering and maintaining PAM solutions such as (BeyondTrust),
  • Demonstrable experience in administering and maintaining password safe tools such as BeyondTrust Password safe.
  • Familiarity with working in geographically dispersed, multi-cultural teams.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of troubleshooting and configuring Privileged applications, Privileged ID Management, and API integrations.
  • Experience of deploying and operating PAM capabilities in Hybrid Environments (On-Prem, AWS, Azure)
  • Building relationships with key business stakeholders, project teams, operational teams, and service providers.

Preferred:

  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Advanced research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience of working in a large, complex IT environment (preferably within Financial Services).
  • Strong understanding of IT Security Standards and frameworks (such as ISO, NIST, GDPR).
