Job Responsibilities:

• Assist in basic tasks of setups (cleaning bolster, organizing end of press) completing housekeeping within setups, assist with basic tasks as directed.
• Lift, move, stack, pack and visually monitor parts through an established process.
• Machine coverage as required.
• Meets or exceeds production output and quality as prescribed by established standards.
• Learning from operators to perform first offs and fill out necessary paperwork.
• Full compliance with all administrative requirements within MDV as well as compliance with current Customer standards and procedures / quality programs and Environmental Management Systems Standards.
• Ensures work area is kept clean, tidy and safe at all times.
• Performs quality documentation (S.P.C.) as prescribed.
• Reports all incidents or accidents that may cause damage or injury.
• Observes all Federal/Provincial Regulations including standards for safe working conditions as outlined in the Occupational Health & Safety Act as well as Policies and Procedures outlined in the Employee Handbook.
• Participates in Continuous Improvement / Suggestion Programs.
• Perform other assignments as requested by management from time to time as well as making Supervisor/Designee aware of problems/slowdown in work area so can be assigned further duties.
• Other Tasks:
• Continuously adhere to and apply the Magna Employee's Charter, the Magna Corporate Constitution, and the Magna Operational Principles in all aspects of position and interaction with others.
• Effective use of MDV's Escalation Process.
• Compliance to IATF customer requirements
• Attends all scheduled meetings and training.
• Understands and follows established rules, procedures and policies relating to position.
• Ensure a safe working environment by observing safe work practices and by following all safety policies and procedures.
• Other duties that may be assigned.

Core Competencies:

• Procedure oriented - able to follow procedures and requirements for start-up, Standard Work instructions, completing paperwork accurately, etc.
• Strong work ethic - through a thorough understanding of automotive quality and delivery requirements, meets production targets, quality and delivery goals as prescribed by established standards.
• Willingness to learn new ways of doing things - through an understanding of TWI, capable of learning SWI for multiple machines within Assembly department.
• Organized - prefers and keeps a clean and orderly work environment

Education Qualification:

• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Meets standards for MDV testing.
• Physically capable of performing essential duties of the job.
• Working knowledge of quality and safety initiatives.
• Working knowledge of the English language both written and oral.
