Hitachi Heating and Cooling Solutions UK is focused on business growth and is seeking a new Pre-Sales Technical Engineer. This office-based role offers the opportunity to help us establish a long-lasting reputation within the UK market and differentiate ourselves from the competition. The primary responsibility will be to support sales growth by driving innovation and providing effective solutions to our sales team and customers.
How you will do it:
- Generate accurate quotations for the complete Hitachi product portfolio using Salesforce.
- Respond to technical and application queries from customers and account managers via phone and email.
- Create schematic drawings, including wiring and layout designs as needed.
- Analyze specifications and drawings to provide suitable equipment selections.
- Accompany Account Managers on customer visits when necessary.
- Manage personal workload and shared inbox effectively.
- Provide training support for customers and account managers.
- Deliver courteous and helpful customer service.
- Stay updated on product developments and related issues.
- Meet key performance indicators consistently.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times.
- Understand and comply with all relevant company policies.
What we are looking for:
- Working knowledge and technical understanding of air conditioning systems and their applications (essential).
- Familiarity with Johnson Controls Hitachi equipment preferred, though full training will be provided.
- Knowledge of the renewables industry is desirable.
- Ability to deliver technical presentations is advantageous.
- Practical hands-on skills are necessary.
- Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Computer literacy, specifically in Excel spreadsheets, is required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commercial awareness and business acumen.
- Strategic thinking ability.
