At Westpac, we are committed to protecting our customers and the financial system. As a Platform Engineer - NetReveal, you will play a critical role in supporting the prevention and detection of financial crime by ensuring the NetReveal platform is reliable, resilient and fit for purpose.
You will be responsible for the day to day operational health of the platform, working closely with your squad, business users and wider technology teams. Operating in a highly regulated and mission critical environment, you will contribute to platform stability, automation, observability and continuous improvement while supporting strategic change initiatives.
Ko tō mahi | What you’ll do
Operate, support and maintain the NetReveal platform across production and non production environments.
Provide strong technical troubleshooting and problem solving for platform, application and integration issues.
Support platform availability, performance and resilience, including participation in after hours on call support as required.
Work closely with the squad to deliver platform changes, fixes and upgrades.
Contribute to incident, problem and change management activities, including root cause analysis and post incident reviews.
Maintain and enhance platform monitoring, alerting and observability.
Support secure integrations with upstream and downstream systems such as payments, customer and data platforms.
Automate operational and deployment activities to improve reliability and reduce manual effort.
Actively contribute as a collaborative member of the Financial Crime Technology squad, sharing knowledge and improving ways of working.
Ensure platform operations align with Westpac security, risk and compliance requirements.

Essential
Strong experience supporting enterprise applications in a production environment.
Solid Linux administration and troubleshooting capability.
Experience with monitoring and observability tools and a strong understanding of their importance, such as Splunk or Dynatrace..
Understanding of infrastructure and configuration as code concepts, such as Terraform, Ansible or similar.
Good understanding of security best practices within regulated environments.
Experience supporting system integrations, APIs, messaging or batch based processing.
Ability to remain calm, focused and effective during incidents and high pressure situations.
Strong communication skills with a collaborative and people first mindset.
Desirable
Experience supporting NetReveal or similar financial crime or AML platforms.
Experience within banking, payments or financial services environments.
Working knowledge of databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL or MS SQL Server.
Experience with CI CD pipelines and source control tools such as Git or Jenkins.
Familiarity with messaging technologies such as IBM MQ or Kafka.
Experience working in Agile or DevOps aligned teams.
