Job Responsibilities:
Role Responsibilities:
  • To ensure health, safety, and environmental procedures are always followed.
  • To ensure quality standards are always followed.
  • To facilitate and support the creation and improvement of asset maintenance strategies using the CMMS.
  • To perform both intrusive and non-intrusive planned preventative and corrective maintenance on production equipment to improve asset MTTR and MTBF.
  • To accurately document works completed using the site CMMS.
  • To fully utilise the functionality of the site CMMS.
  • To create, execute, and improve maintenance work instructions and best practices.
  • To facilitate and support planned maintenance improvement projects.
  • To support job kitting activities.
  • To take advantage of unplanned downtime events to maximise resource efficiency and minimise PM and CM work order backlogs.
  • To facilitate and support root cause analysis events to improve maintenance strategies.
  • To train others on maintenance best practices.
  • Key metrics include OEE, MTBF, MTTR, PM adherence, CM adherence, adherence to plan, and wrench time.
  • To apply 5S methodology in work area and wider factory.
  • To align to departmental and company goals.
  • To support management with ad-hoc projects as and when required.
  • To support the maintenance and facilities department's reactive teams when required.

Experience:
Essential
  • Time served apprentice in mechanical and/or electrical engineering or
  • equivalent.
  • Minimum level 3 engineering qualification in related discipline or equivalent.
  • Willingness to multi- skill.
  • Strict attention to detail and a right-first-time approach.
  • Experience in fault finding from electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and/or hydraulic schematics.
  • Experience developing or improving planned preventative maintenance
  • strategies.
  • Proficient in Microsoft (especially Word, Excel, Power Point).
  • To be able to communicate technical issues to non-technical staff.
  • 5S experience.

Desirable
  • Qualification in both electrical & mechanical discipline.
  • Experience working in a reliability engineering role.
  • Experience using and improving CMMS.
  • Educated to HNC/HND in related discipline.
  • Experience within the castings sector.
  • Health and safety accreditation.
  • Experience of tier 1 automotive supply.
  • Experience with die casting machines, furnaces, hydraulic presses, conveyors, assembly cells, ABB robots, Siemens PLCs, CNCs, etc.
