Job DescriptionThe role of People Business Partner is important to us. Based in our Belfast office, you will play a key role in supporting colleagues and leaders across Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland and our Emerging Business units, partnering with the business to deliver practical, commercially focused people solutions that enable performance and growth.
Acting as a trusted advisor to managers, you will translate business priorities into effective people plans, supporting organisational change, leadership capability and employee engagement across diverse and fast-moving teams. This is a hands-on partnering role, balancing operational HR delivery with forward-looking people initiatives that strengthen capability, improve the employee experience and support sustainable business performance.
You will work closely with leaders to provide clear, pragmatic guidance on all people matters, using data, insight and strong employment law knowledge to drive consistent, compliant and commercially sound decision-making. As part of the wider People team, you will help shape and embed best practice while supporting the continued growth of our Emerging Businesses.
Key Responsibilities
Support people managers in delivering people plans aligned to business priorities.
Assist with performance management processes, including capability, absence and conduct cases.
Support organisational change activity, including restructures, consultations and role changes, under guidance.
Analyse people data and metrics to identify trends, risks and opportunities, producing clear and practical insights.
Contribute to the development and delivery of training and development activity for managers and teams.
Coach and support line managers to build confidence and capability in managing their teams effectively.
Support continuous improvement of HR policies, processes and employee experience.
Ensure all people activity is compliant with UK employment legislation and internal governance.
Solid experience in an HR Advisory, HR Officer or HR Generalist role
Strong grounding in UK employment law and HR best practice
Confidence working with managers and handling day-to-day people issues
A proactive, curious mindset with a willingness to learn and get into the detail
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
Commercial awareness and an interest in how people decisions impact business performance
