Role Summary

The HR Manager will lead the delivery of a high‑quality Human Resources function across the UK, ROI, and EMEA regions. This role is responsible for overseeing employee relations, driving HR policy development, ensuring compliance across multiple jurisdictions, and providing strategic and operational HR support to managers and employees. The HR Manager will champion a culture of excellence, consistency, and customer focus within HR operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert, proactive HR advice on policies, terms and conditions, employment legislation, and best practice across multiple regions.
  • Lead and coach managers through complex employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance, and capability cases, ensuring consistent application of policy and process.
  • Develop, update, and implement HR policies, procedures, and guidance to ensure compliance with UK, NI, and ROI employment law, as well as regional requirements across EMEA.
  • Oversee the preparation, analysis, and presentation of HR data and metrics to support decision‑making and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure HR Information Systems and electronic documentation are accurate, compliant, and maintained to the highest standards.
  • Partner with the L&D function to design and deliver HR‑related training and development for managers and employees.
  • Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of HR documentation to support effective people management.
  • Manage and prioritise high‑volume HR queries through the online ticketing system, ensuring excellent customer service.
  • Lead and support HR projects aligned with business goals, including organisational change, process improvement, and compliance initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities for operational improvement and make recommendations to enhance HR service delivery.
  • Build and maintain effective working partnerships with external stakeholders and agencies.
  • Oversee visa and immigration processes for employees travelling internationally.
  • Manage Equality Monitoring and ensure full compliance with reporting obligations to the Equality Commission.
  • Travel occasionally across the UK and Ireland to support business needs.

About the Ideal Candidate

  • Degree in Human Resource Management or related discipline, or a minimum Level 5 HR qualification.
  • At least four years’ HR generalist experience, with significant time spent advising managers on employee relations in a fast‑scaling, technology‑driven environment.
  • Strong, up‑to‑date knowledge of UK, NI, and ROI employment legislation.
  • Demonstrable experience in:
    • Managing complex grievance cases
    • Managing disciplinary and capability processes
    • Developing HR policy and procedure
    • Designing and delivering HR projects that align with business needs
  • Strong planning and organisational capability, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills.
  • Strong customer focus and meticulous attention to detail.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience working with HR databases, ensuring accuracy and data integrity.

Desirable Criteria

  • Experience supporting HR operations across EMEA, APAC, or the Americas.
