Payroll Manager, EMEA

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Payroll Manager to oversee payroll operations for the EMEA region. This is a new and exciting opportunity to lead a team of four analysts and ensure the efficient and accurate processing of payroll in multiple countries within the EMEA region. The Payroll Manager will report directly to the Sr. Manager of Global Payroll.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of payroll operations, processing payroll, ensure accuracy, compliance with legal requirements and timely distributed payments for EMEA employees.

  • Manage and mentor a team of payroll analysts, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.

  • Oversee and ensure accurate and timely payroll processing for all employees in the EMEA region.

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant local, regional, and international payroll regulations and standards.

  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of payroll operations.

  • Manage relationships with external payroll vendors and service providers.

  • Address and resolve any payroll-related issues or discrepancies in a timely and efficient manner.

  • Work closely with HR, Benefits, Finance, and other departments to ensure seamless payroll operations and data integrity.

  • Drive payroll-related projects and improvements, including payroll implementations in new countries.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 7+ years total payroll experience w/ 5+ years of multi country experience (4 or more countries)

  • 3+ years of leadership experience

  • Strong knowledge of payroll regulations, standards, tax laws and compliance requirements in the EMEA region

  • Strong proficiency in MS Office especially Excel

  • Proficiency in payroll software and systems.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Payroll Professional Certification through CIPP or equivalent body; or similar certification.

  • Experience with multi-national payroll software such as Workday, ADP, or Safeguard Global.

  • Experience running payroll for United Kingdom, Spain, France, Germany, Portugal, and Netherlands.

  • Experience leading implementation of new payroll solutions and/or payroll in new countries.
