Job Title: Payroll Advisor
Location: UK Homebased
Type: Permanent, full-time
About the role:
As a Payroll Advisor, you’ll play a vital role in delivering accurate, timely payroll for UK colleagues. Working as part of a collaborative team, you’ll focus on the hands-on elements of payroll – from data entry and pay calculations to ensuring compliance and accuracy across every cycle.
You’ll be a go-to contact for HR colleagues, liaising with third-party providers, HMRC, and our Reward Team to manage salary sacrifice schemes, payrolled benefits, and company cars.
This role is perfect for someone with some previous payroll experience who enjoys structured, detail-focused work and is keen to grow in a supportive team environment.
Responsibilities:
- Process end-to-end payroll activities accurately and on schedule.
- Manually calculate statutory and non-statutory pay elements, including tax, NI, and pension contributions.
- Maintain and update payroll data in ResourceLink and Workday.
- Support the payroll shared inbox, responding to queries from People Services and other stakeholders.
- Update and maintain payroll trackers and documentation with accuracy and consistency.
- Assist in monthly reconciliations and payroll reporting.
To be successful in the role, you will have:
- Previous end-to-end payroll experience with strong attention to detail.
- A solid understanding of UK payroll legislation and statutory requirements.
- Confidence in manually calculating payslips and resolving payroll discrepancies.
- Strong numerical and data management skills, with proficiency in MS Excel (including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs).
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to work effectively to tight deadlines.
- A self-motivated, organised, and structured approach to work.
- A willingness to ask for help and learn from more senior team members.
- Experience with ResourceLink or Workday is desirable but not essential.
