Join the Global Industry Advisory team which is part of Global Sales within J. P. Morgan Payments. The team is a strategic function focused on optimizing clients' Payments and Treasury management. We act as trusted partners-providing insights, best practices, and tailored solutions that support growth, problem solving, efficiency, and risk management across complex, cross-border business models. The Team brings the required content and thought leadership to Grow, Differentiate, Stay Ahead, positioning J.P. Morgan Payments as the global leader in Payments.
Job summary
As a Vice President within the Global Industry Advisory team covering EMEA clients, you will act as an expert in the Payments and Treasury domain, supporting J.P. Morgan's largest and most strategic clients operating across the EMEA region. You will be responsible for building a network across existing and new client opportunities and generating the strategies, content, articles, speaking engagements and other tools to help promote sales success. You will require strategic and original thought, creating industry best practices, conducting process and industry deep dives, solution whiteboarding, and demonstrating strong client-facing capabilities. You will work closely with the wider Global Advisory Team, as well as Payments Sales and Banking Coverage to increase client engagement, and meet new sales, pipeline, and portfolio growth targets.
Job responsibilities
  • Work independently and in partnership with the Global Industry Advisory team to develop and execute industry best practices, trends, benchmarking, and compelling market analysis to deliver solutions aligned with key priorities and needs of clients.
  • Understand JPM product offerings (Payments, Cash Management, Liquidity, FX, Merchant Services, Embedded Finance, Trade, and Working Capital) and leverage them to structure solutions for clients.
  • Conduct process deep dives and whiteboarding sessions. Provide clients with insights and propose solutions to help improve Payments and Treasury operations and inform strategic decision-making.
  • Stay ahead of trends across the Treasury and Payments landscape; understand what the ecosystem is thinking about, where it is evolving, and how Payments fits in, e.g., regulation, consumer preference, business models.
  • Use expertise and industry intelligence to build engaging campaigns and go-to-market sales plans to support pipeline growth.
  • Enhance external visibility by participating and presenting at JPM proprietary events, industry roundtables, and client events.
  • Drive and/or support thought leadership content, develop success stories, solicit feedback from clients and internal partners, promoting replication.
  • Organize trends, meet with clients, collect feedback and partner with Product to exchange insights and support roadmap;
  • Provide coaching to broader coverage and sales teams on relevant best practices and JPM industry value proposition in addressing clients' needs.
  • Ensure strong risk management, compliance, and adherence to relevant policies and procedures

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Extensive Payments, Treasury, Sales/Partnerships or Strategy experience, with deep industry expertise
  • Experience in building Payments and/or Treasury capabilities within an organization.
  • Strong knowledge across treasury, payments, merchant acquiring, FX, as well as supporting concepts such as Compliance / AML / Fraud / Regulations
  • Growth mindset, original thinking, and problem-solving critical.
  • Ability to develop thought leadership ideas and strategies and execute against them; Operates with urgency and energy
  • Exhibit exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including influencing, networking, and collaborating; ability to work effectively across teams and geographies.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to engage effectively with stakeholders (including sales, product, banking), building confidence and trust.
  • Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced and unstructured environment.
  • Strong organizational skills including the ability to juggle multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously
  • Team player, with the ability to work effectively in a highly collaborative and global organization
  • Proven relevant experience at this level in a Payments advisory capacity
