Job Description
JPMorgan Payments is a market leader in providing end-to-end, innovative solutions to power the growth of commerce platforms, ecosystem merchants and their customers, suppliers, and other participants.
We are looking for a senior Product Leader with a strong engineering background to drive the vision, strategy, implementation, and go-to-market of new commerce identity solutions that provide better and more secure experiences to multi-party commerce platforms and their participants (e.g., buyers and sellers). You will also be responsible for creating partnerships across the firm and industry in the digital identity space, representing JPM Payments.

As a Product Leader in JPMorgan Payments, you leverage your advanced capabilities to challenge traditional approaches and foster a culture of continuous innovation that helps inspire cross-functional teams to create groundbreaking solutions that address customer needs. Your senior presence, industry knowledge and engineering expertise position you as the lead for JPMorgan Payments in a wide range of key JPMC digital identity initiatives.
Job responsibilities

  • Develop the vision and strategy for JPMorgan Payments in the Commerce Identity space, leveraging all relevant assets across our payment rails, platforms, and distribution capabilities.


  • Partner with JPMorgan Payments' Merchant Services business to develop a vision and strategy to enable a wide range of commerce related digital identity solutions and wallets including JPMC proprietary and external ones; to design go-to-market approaches, economics, and implementation prioritization.


  • Represent JP Morgan Payments in the wider firm wide efforts to collectively leverage JPMC's broader Identity capabilities and explore synergies with other LOBs such as Consumer & Community Banking and International Consumer Banking of JPMC.


  • Monitor market trends, conducts competitive analysis, and identifies opportunities for product differentiation. Articulates and evolves JPM payments' unique value proposition in this space.


  • Oversee the product roadmap, execution, risk management, and business growth targets across multiple internal product teams, acting as the senior product lead and advisor


  • Lead the entire product life cycle through planning, execution, and future development by continuously adapting, developing new products and methodologies, managing risks, and achieving business targets like cost, features, reusability, and reliability to support growth.


  • Coach and mentor the product teams on best practices, such as solution generation, market research, storyboarding, mind-mapping, prototyping methods, product adoption strategies, and product delivery, enabling them to effectively deliver on objectives


  • Work in conjunction with Engineering, Operations, and Control function to ensure fully featured, compliant, performant, and stable client solutions.


Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • 10+ years of experience or equivalent expertise delivering products, projects, or technology applications in the broader payments space including merchant acquiring, treasury services, and digital identity areas.


  • Experience in developing consumer / seller identity and KYC best practices, with demonstrated expertise in related topics including tokenization, token vaults, device-linked identity, identity for omnichannel experiences, seller portals, consumer wallets, and stored value ledgering and data schema


  • Extensive knowledge of the product development life cycle, technical design, and data analytics


  • Proven ability to influence the adoption of key product life cycle activities including discovery, ideation, strategic development, requirements definition, and value management


  • Experience driving change within organizations and managing stakeholders across multiple functions


  • Experience or equivalent expertise in merchant acquiring with technical knowledge of underlying technologies, including payments APIs


  • Expert knowledge of product development methodologies, technical design, and data analytics


  • Strong partnership strategy and skills and outstanding capability in navigating across a large organization and a wide range of stakeholders


Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Recognized thought leader within payments and digital identity field


  • Payments engineering expertise strongly preferred


  • Proven track record of being able to work across different teams in a highly effective and collaborative way
