PathConnexx Europe - Virtual

PathConnexx is one of the ways we at IDEXX remain committed to supporting the training and education of future veterinary pathologists. We understand how important it is to gain diverse experiences during your residency, and we’re excited to announce an additional opportunity to peek behind the curtain at IDEXX through our PathConnexx learning program.

This WINTER PATHCONNEXX experience is a new extension of the program, one that allows clinical and anatomic veterinary pathology residents in Europe (and South Africa) a chance to learn virtually.
Residents will gain real-world experience working virtually alongside our pathologists, who provide diagnostics and consultation services to practicing veterinarians. You will be integrated into our global professional pathology team with exposure to a wide range of interesting pathology cases, specifically selected for you based on your interests and goals for your program.

What to expect:

• The 2-day program will take place the week of January 27th or the week of February 3rd, with specific schedules planned for a mutually agreeable time

• You’ll participate in the digital diagnostic evaluation of specimens, related consultations, and other activities

• You’ll interact virtually with several IDEXX pathologists of various backgrounds and areas of interest

• You’ll attend and participate in pathology-related meetings as available (e.g. rounds)

What experience you’ll need:

• DVM or equivalent

• 18+ years of age and enrollment in a veterinary pathology residency, with a track record of academic success and potential

• Familiarity with current topics and issues in diagnostic veterinary medicine

• Successful completion of Phase I of the ECVP or ACVP board exam highly desirable

• “Will this new program mean there isn’t an in-person program in Kornwestheim anymore?”

  • No. This is an additional PathConnexx opportunity. The European on-site program will still be offered later in the year, as will the virtual North American opportunity.
