IBMC is assisting one of our clients in hiring a Partnership Manager to drive business growth through high-value, revenue-generating strategic partnerships. The role focuses on identifying, negotiating, and managing B2B alliances that expand market reach and accelerate adoption of trading and quantitative technology products.
The ideal candidate has strong experience in partnership development and B2B sales within the trading sector, with a proven ability to close complex commercial deals and manage long-term partner relationships that deliver measurable commercial outcomes.
Partnership Strategy & Execution (Business Development)
- Identify & Target: Proactively research and identify potential strategic partners across key sectors: Trading Platforms, CRM Providers, Payment Service Providers (PSPs), Financial/Industry Media (e.g., FT, PropfirmMatch), Education platforms, and Brokers.
- Deal Negotiation: Lead the entire partnership lifecycle from initial contact through negotiation and contract signing, focusing on revenue-sharing, integration, and referral models.
- Revenue Generation: Own and exceed quarterly and annual targets for new partnership-driven revenue.
- Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong, executive-level relationships with partners
Product Representation & Integration
- Serve as the primary partnership expert for our product suite:
- Web Development Services
- Risk Management Tools
- Affiliate Management Systems
- Trading Journal Applications
- Tradeopay (Payment Solution)
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to define and prioritize integration requirements for seamless partner/client onboarding
- Develop clear, compelling value propositions and training materials for partner sales and technical teams.
Market Insight & Reporting
- Monitor competitive partnership landscapes and industry trends to identify new opportunities for strategic alliances.
- Track, analyze, and report on the performance of all partnership initiatives, utilizing CRM tools and internal analytics to measure efficacy and optimize strategy.
Requirements
- 3+ years of progressive experience in Business Development, Strategic Partnerships, or B2B Sales, preferably within the Trading Sector, Trading SaaS, or Capital Markets Technology sectors.
- Demonstrable track record of closing high-value, complex partnership deals that directly resulted in significant revenue growth.
- Deep Understanding of the Trading Ecosystem: Familiarity with the operational models, technology needs, and value chain of Trading Platforms, Brokers, and Trading Technology service providers.
- Payment Systems Expertise: Understanding of payment processing within the trading industry, including knowledge of PSPs, merchant accounts, and, specifically, the functional integration of a proprietary solution like Tradeopay.
- Sales & Negotiation Mastery: Exceptional presentation, communication, and negotiation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical value propositions to both business and technical audiences.
- Technology Fluency: A solid understanding of API integrations, SaaS business models, and the technical requirements for partnering with services like CRM.
- CRM Proficiency: Experience managing pipelines, partner activities, and forecasting using industry-standard CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
- Results-Oriented: Highly motivated, self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset focused on achieving and exceeding targets.
- Exceptional Networker: Proven ability to build trust and rapport quickly with external stakeholders.
- Strategic Thinker: Ability to analyze market data, identify key strategic fits, and develop a long-term partnership roadmap.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Haves)
- Existing network of contacts within the Brokerage, Financial Media (e.g., FT, PropfirmMatch), or Trading Technology industries.
- Direct experience integrating or selling a payment solution (like Tradeopay or similar PSP technology) to financial institutions or trading firms.
