Job Title ORM Framework Adherence

Location London

Corporate Title AVP

Operational Risk Management (ORM), as a 2nd line of defence (2LoD) function is responsible for the design of the Operational Risk Management Framework (ORMF) at Deutsche Bank and respective components.

You will be joining the ORM Framework Adherence team in London, and you will contribute to the effective design, development and ongoing adherence monitoring of Deutsche Bank’s ORMF. Our aim is to support Business Divisions, Infrastructure functions and 2LoDs manage their operational risk exposure in line with Group wide risk appetite and facilitate effective decision-making.

Your key responsibilities

  • Investigating root causes for a lack of framework adherence by 1LoD and 2LoD functions, with an aim to proactively identify and agree improvement opportunities
  • Working closely with key stakeholders across Business Divisions, Infrastructure and 2LoDs globally to review Framework Adherence results, root causes / themes and agree remediation plans
  • Ensuring collective design inputs are considered throughout the implementation and embedding of ORM Framework processes, controls and minimum standards
  • Collaborating with ORM Framework to propose and agree design enhancements to the existing OR Framework to deliver better risk management and operating efficiency outcomes
  • Considering current and emerging industry trends and standards, risk management practices and changes in the regulatory and operating environment
  • Supporting the development of Operational Risk systems, tools and data infrastructure

Your skills and experience

  • Experience in financial service, with good understanding of Operational Risk Management principles
  • Demonstrable experience of developing strong working relationships with business areas to facilitate successful risk management practice
  • Ability to adopt a methodical approach to analyse data, draw conclusions and provide concise commentary suitable for a senior audience
  • Good communication and presentation skills, with keen eye for detail and focus on quality control.
  • Familiar with MS Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, etc)
