About FirecrawlFirecrawl is the easiest way to extract data from the web. Developers use us to reliably convert URLs into LLM-ready markdown or structured data with a single API call. In just a year, we’ve hit millions in ARR and 50k+ GitHub stars by building the fastest way for developers to get LLM-ready data.
Previously, we built Mendable, one of the first commercially available “chat with your data” applications. We sold to companies like MongoDB, Coinbase, Snapchat, and more. To do this, we spent a surprising amount of time building reliable infrastructure for getting clean data from the web. When we started to see our founding friends rebuilding the same thing, we thought we might be on to something.
Why FirecrawlOpen Source at the Core – Ship contributions that developers worldwide will use every day
Community Impact – Build alongside a community of 50k+ devs who already use Firecrawl
Small team, big ambition – Collaborate closely with founders, influencing key decisions and future directions
High velocity – Launch your work fast, see immediate adoption, and iterate with real users

We’re looking for an Open Source Engineer who lives and breathes developer-first tooling and community engagement. You’ll own and expand Firecrawl’s open-source ecosystem—building core libraries, maintaining integrations, and scaling the projects that fuel our growth. This role blends engineering with community: you’ll ship high-quality code, guide contributors, and shape how developers interact with Firecrawl in the open.
If you’re excited about building in public, stewarding projects with massive adoption, and being the technical face of an open-source movement, this is your role.
