This position is the ideal role for individuals with a passion for operational excellence and mobile technology. You will manage the end-to-end deployment of branded mobile apps for global enterprise customers, ensuring seamless app stores publishing, maintaining branding consistency, and driving process improvements. By delivering high-quality, customer-centric solutions, you will play a critical role in shaping the success of SpotMe’s event engagement platform and its long-term customer relationships.
As the Release Manager for Mobile, you will be reporting to the Operations Lead, and you will:
- [35%] Act as the primary contact for Enterprise clients by leading initial app deployment planning meetings, managing communications, and building relationships to facilitate timely and efficient App deployment. During this time, you will proactively monitor ongoing interactions with your clients, provide timely follow-up, and provide clear guidance to ensure all required assets are delivered on schedule.
- [30%] Ensure timely deployment of 200+ monthly app releases to customer accounts using deployment scripts or manual methods, including preparing and delivering assets for client-managed uploads via email. Achieve a 100% success rate in meeting agreed-upon timelines, platform-specific compliance, and adherence to branding and quality standards. Monitor critical deadlines, including app uploads and certificate expirations, and proactively manage renewals or updates to avoid disruption.
- [20%] Collaborate closely with clients to optimize app branding and design, conducting structured consultations with customers to align app features with evolving user needs and expectations. Provide actionable, detailed, and timely feedback internally to the Design team to drive continuous improvement.
- [10%] Maintain and regularly update a centralized repository of comprehensive documentation, visual assets, client references, and operational guidelines. Ensure consistency, clarity, and accuracy of all stored data, streamlining the publishing process and enhancing overall team efficiency.
- [5%] Review and analyze app publishing performance metrics regularly, identifying trends, issues, and opportunities. Implement best practices proactively to improve operational effectiveness and client satisfaction continuously.
In your first month, you will successfully complete onboarding by reviewing and understanding 100% of the required tools, documentation, and procedures. You’ll get to know your team and the teams with which you will collaborate. You will:
- Become proficient with SpotMe Backstage, Jenkins build systems, and Fastlane scripts, demonstrated through hands-on execution of at least 10 app deployments
- Actively manage daily client communications, achieve a response rate of 95% within one business day
- Consistently update and maintain the App Database with 100% accuracy
- Participate in at least 4 client onboarding sessions and complete all scheduled training sessions with your Team Lead
After 3 months, you will:
- Have independently coordinated and successfully published a minimum of 15 white-label apps to app stores, achieving 100% compliance with customer branding and technical requirements
- Have demonstrated expertise in SpotMe’s app publishing processes, tools, and guidelines, measured by
- Achieving zero compliance issues post-deployment
- Delivered 95% of apps on schedule
- Have effectively collaborated with internal teams, ensuring that at least 95% of apps are delivered on schedule
- Additionally, you will have built strong relationships with internal teams, including design and engineering, to ensure smooth collaboration on app design and deployment.
After 12 months, you will become a trusted expert in SpotMe’s app publishing process, independently managing and deploying a minimum of 250+ apps annually with consistent on-time deployment and 100% compliance with app store requirements. You will lead client onboarding calls independently, achieving at least a 95% satisfaction rating, and proactively managing client communications, resulting in zero critical escalations related to app publishing processes or deliverables.
What you need to be great at- Familiarity with mobile app deployment and store submission processes (iOS and Android) is a strong advantage - especially if you’ve dealt with platform guidelines, rejections, or build-related issues. If you haven’t worked directly with app stores, experience managing structured release processes, QA handoffs, or working within technical publishing workflows will set you up for success.
- Automation mindset with technical fluency: you’re confident working with CI/CD tools like Jenkins and Fastlane, and continuously look for ways to improve speed and stability in the publishing pipeline.
- Flawless execution and compliance awareness: you never let a small mistake slip through. You ensure brand alignment, polish, and full compliance with app store guidelines so nothing causes delays or rework.
- Solution-oriented client interaction: you know how to listen, guide, and adapt to customer needs - especially around branding, UI, and delivery expectations. You manage customer input and timelines with clarity and control, even in high-pressure situations.
- Cross-Functional execution: you collaborate seamlessly with design, engineering, and ops - cutting through ambiguity and turning technical details into clear, actionable steps. You keep progress unblocked and teams aligned.
